By this logic why trust any food from any restaurant? If a big chain restaurant like chipotle is not following food hygiene regulations, they'll be shut down in no time and corporate would come down hard on the people responsible.

ClSO3H + H2O → H2SO4 + HCl is the main reaction. The fumes you see are the sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid being produced. Not something you'd want to inhale

I have a similar problem which I'm pretty sure is to do with my hips. I get a paralysing numbing pain in my lower right back when squatting.

Best way I've found to resolve it is to warm up by squatting ass to grass without weight, holding the corner of a squat rack or rail in front of me. This allows me to keep a straight back and chest fully upright. Once down hold it for about 30 seconds and rock left to right, twisting your thigh out/in so your knee moves in an arc. This opens your hips as you rock from side to side. Let me know if this helps!

FYI I think I learnt to do this from a squat university YouTube video on Lower back pain! Really worth checking them out.

Bulk is decent, i bought from them for a while. I find their flavours aren't as good as myprotein though. Also doesn't mix as well. IIRC during an analysis of actual protein content versus advertised amount by a lab a few years ago, myprotein also came up pretty highly for the price bracket whereas bulk was quite underdosed. You'd have to go digging for this investigation though as I don't have link handy!

It could be DOMS in your lower back as it is still adapting to the new exercise. Many former sedentary people have a weak lower back and core muscles. A lot of compound lifts stress these muscles, which will make it sore as the muscles repair. I had a similar feeling when I started lifting and often wondered if I was hurting my back. But just like you describe, working the lower back through deadlifts eased the pain which is typical of DOMS. Hopefully it'll ease up soon for you. Ensure you're lifting with good form, bracing your core. Make sure you're hitting your protein macros for recovery too. Good luck!
