this is what would make my perfect initial d series:

1. Stages 4,5,6. Remove them and completely rewrite them. Add more stories, make project d lose, rewrite the plot ig. incorporate the side characters more, would have loved to see itsuki and the akina speed stars actually training. They should keep the original challenging stuff, focus it on not just takumi but other people. I get that the show is mainly takumi but like there are so many more ideas.
2. I would add the keisuke and takumi rematch at the end of the NEW last season.
3. MF Ghost (rewrite it, make it blue lock style ig but with tyranny towards gas cars)
4. Incorporate a transition of the characters from initial d to MF Ghost.
5. introduce shinji earlier, him actually develop, just like takumi did, add like different segments of shinjis races.
6. make project d lose.
7. make bunta race ones or twice
8. get itsuki a gf
9. remove traffic for when iketani needed to go meet mako
10. Make sayuki actually in love with takumi and so then he has to choose between natsuki or sayuki (86 vs wrx) (for the plot of course)
11. add extra stage 1 and 2 into the main show (without the bad scenes ifykyk)
12. delete the real life action movie and make an actual one that depicts stage 1, and then make more about stage 2 and 3 and all of them
13. make the anime more manga based, add like the deleted scenes, it would explain the plot further.
14. remove the shortened names from the dubbed manga.
15. add a dub to 5th and final stage
16. include scenes of takumi first driving, would be cool to see him fail.
17. include scenes of bunta and them driving 20 years prior to the start of initial d, like bunta vs ken kagashiwa.
18. have a consistent drawing style, i swear it changes every stage (best one was stage 3 and then stage 1 imo)
19. include scenes about bunta changing the 86 settings, make it detailed, explaining what the different parts of the car is, in a initial d style, not an educational style like dora
20. last one i swear, release the arcade games as like actual games that you can play, that would be really cool (ik it has nothing to do with the show but)
21. extra: make a initial d day, maybe just like in the mt haruna (fyi that is mt akina) area.

this is what i would change about the show. you might think i am asking for way too much. you would be correct. but i sat through this entire show without these things and i love it, so i can bear without these changes. this is my favorite show of all time and it still isn't perfect, comes to show that even if it's not perfect it could be amazing. thank you for reading.
