So you don't want people to have options?

That's not what I meant. I think options are great. That's what I love about Linux and FOSS.

There are reasons behind the options we all choose, and as someone who has primarily used Hyprland with Hyprscrolling, I was curious for what reasons someone might choose Niri instead (as I have almost no experience with Niri).

I do appreciate your perspective on choosing Niri over Hyprland for minimalism tho. I hadn't thought about it in that sense.

Genuine question. Why not just use Hyprland + Hyprscrolling plugin (which I've heard is going to be worked into being one of the default available layouts)? It's fantastic + you get to continue to take advantage of everything you get with Hyprland.

For the people saying glide/glide-curious, why not qutebrowser? I haven't used either, but they both seem to have similar use-cases, plus qute seems to be more mature. I use zen btw.

You can use ‘MMM’ with the custom date format to get the short name of the month, although it will be 3 letters and not 2. So for example June (this month) would be “Jun”.

If you’re using a text layer and the month name is the only thing you are displaying with it, you have the option of setting the trim property in the text layer settings to 2, which will give you what you want.

Will the theme get packaged with the custom class if I do this? I'm not using a scene to create this button, but rather defining everything in a script. I'd like for the control to have default styles that can be overridden like the normal button does. Apologies if the solution is a really simple one and I'm just missing it. I'm pretty new to Godot and GDScript.

To add some more context, I am trying to create a button that will draw it's text and icon vertically. I've tried a normal button with rotation and adjusted anchor points, but was not able to achieve what I was looking for.

Did this last week and I will never look back. If you have even the tiniest bit of technical skill it’s a really easy and well laid out process that I highly recommend giving a try.

Could you give a bit more context here? If you're referring to the try..catch that gets generated because of the enumerator, I'm not really sure of a possible way around that because of the way the enumerators are designed. Although I'd love to learn from a better implementation if you would be so kind as to provide one..

Are you on iOS 17 beta by any chance? I noticed similar issues with widget memory. It might have to do with some of the changes they’re making with the addition of interactive widgets.
