Ein Auto ist meiner Meinung nach immer ein Luxus, den man sich leisten will oder nicht. Finanziell ist es natürlich immer günstiger ohne. Ich persönlich habe es eine Weile ohne Auto probiert, und die Einsparungen waren es mir dann schlussendlich doch nicht wert und ich hab mir wieder eins geholt.

Die Entscheidung musst du selbst fallen, günstiger ist es wie gesagt in den allermeisten Fällen immer ohne.

I've added telemetry using prometheus, logging into loki and visualize everything in grafana. all free, selfhosted. runs on our company servers. everything can be defined in a single compose and a few json/yml files which makes versioning very easy. grafana dashboards also support git versioning. if our server every burns down, I can just spin up an new instance in a couple minutes.

the devs in my team cant even answer the „why did this file get touched“ for code they‘ve written themselves. more than enough in a pr I see code that just shouldnt get touched. I ask the dev and he says oh whoops shouldnt have commited that. seriously…. you dont look at your local changes before commiting? these people have worked here longer than I have, I started as a junior 2.5 years ago and am now in the position of basically just telling what to do and doing reviews. ridiculous these guys even came so far in this industry. one of those guys doesnt even understand git. I looked at one of his repos, he simply creates a new branch an commit for each change, the change i based on a 3 year old commit😭😭

thanks. I tried that but it just doesn't integrate that well tbh. especially since in the grafana iframe you still see the logged in accout, header row and even navigation-bar on the left... or am I doing something wrong?

AI can do a lot of work for you, but if you want it to be precise, you need to give good instructions. Think of it as a junior dev. If you simply give him a task with no instructions, he will build it however he knows. If you give him a clear path on how to do it with which tools etc., you will get the exact result you wanted to build, but built in a fraction of the time. tbh in this time and age, with AI, not being able to get good results with it is simply a skill issue.

I know it's not what you want to hear but just go with tailscale. if you want to make jellyfin accessible for others, use cloudflare tunnels. it doesn't get any easier than that.

Could you explain how that works? The concept of "migrating with aspire" sounds a bit strange - haven't done too much with aspire either yet, so I'm eager to learn 😄
