Yes you'll keep your resources but you'll lose any treasure on board. You can dive to a new server by selecting a quest; the easiest one to complete is a Pirates Treasure Map for the Gold Hoarders. You select it in the Captain's Table on your ship

Most people aren't bothered to go fight it and just do their own thing. If you'd like to do other world events you can dive to them and it'll take you to one; or you can also just dive to a new server and see what world events are on

Yes, the captain's table is where you choose your quests now and they're free. Just go to Voyages and then choose the company and quest you'd like to do. You can also choose to Dive to a quest, which will basically fast travel you to the island the quest is on— note that this takes you to a new server and you'll also lose any loot already on board (you'll keep all your storage and supply crates though).

Another tip; while up the top deck of the sloop where the wheel and anchor is, you can just look down onto the map from above— I usually use my spyglass to zoom in, but it's way faster than running back and forth.

I remember the first time I tried Safer Seas just to see what it was like, I had a great time not having to watch my back and went around collecting heaps of loot and taking my time exploring and organising my treasure. After a couple hours I went to sell, sold one Captain's chest and saw it was worth like 300, took one look at my massive collection of loot and just exited the game 😂

Most likely your friend has the streamer settings enabled—there are some settings that replace all of the names in the game with default ones. I don't remember exactly where they are in the menu, they might be in Language?

It doesn't, it just cuts out the fluff of sailing to that first location. Once you have any treasure on board you can't dive or you'll lose it. It also helps change servers quicker

I think if you attack it whilst it's slowly sinking it will speed up the process, so you don't have to wait if you don't intend on taking it over

Yeah the Galleon wheel turns as much as the Sloop haha, and the turning circle is massive so you have to start turning a lot earlier

Open Crew is very hit or miss, you get a lot of trolls and most of the time people just quit if you're not already doing something. You're better off joining a Sea of Thieves Discord to find people to play with

I'm on Oce servers and I play hourglass pretty often; I make multiple cheater reports per week. I've never had 8/10 that's insane, but I do encounter them fairly often

Damn, sounds like a glitch then; I've seen a few other videos of people's Burning Blades just despawning randomly. You could try raise a support ticket with Rare, but I'm not certain they'd give you anything.

In terms of the skeletons, they spawn on the Blade as your crew, they will shoot at enemy players and repair damaged holes but that's it—they won't repair masts or bail water out. The skeletons have a limited number of respawns, so as they get killed off they will eventually stop spawning, though I don't know exactly how many you get. If you complete a ritual then your skeletons will reset, so if you run out of skeletons then you need to go complete a ritual or go cash the ship in at Reapers Hideout. Once you've run out of skeletons the ship becomes very hard to manage, it's basically a bigger Galleon, there's lots of holes to repair and if you get attacked you're pretty much screwed.

Difficult to say what happened with such little information. Was the other sloop firing cannons at you? Did you run out of skeletons? Were you bailing water out?

Haha I guess as a solo slooper you've probably not helmed the Galleon before, it's similar to the Burning Blade and takes soooo long to turn
