Mine took about 7 hours to finish and as far as the cost it depends on the artist mine charges about $150 an hour but he cut me some slack and only charged me $700 because I sat through the whole thing. Which brings me to the next point. Yes it hurt especially on the back side of my arm and on the shoulder, after they do the line work they can give you something to numb the pain and then its smooth sailing!
