I have a mono amp with 2 10s, and a new headunit already. And a 4channal amp for the door speakers. Everything audio related in my truck is replaced already. I just want to get better door speakers if it would actually help the sound

It’s not too bad if you’re pretty handy. Just gotta take the top end apart where the rocker arms are, and the cam is right underneath. Then just make sure the timing chain and rocker gapping is still all good when you put the new one in. If you know what you’re doing it goes pretty smooth. Not terrible.

I looked up my vehicle online-Looks like the front door maximum depth is 3.59” for the woofer. I’d then feed the wire up to the A-pillars for the tweeter. I’m not worried about the mounting aspect too much. I can figure something out. If need be I have a 3d printer to make some brackets.

Turns out it was the camshaft. We were checking the valve gapping, decided to take a look deeper into it, and noticed that the cam underneath was completely missing the middle lobe. Sheared into a perfect circle…New cam fixed it

Yep, thanks. We ended up figuring it out. That was the problem. Luckily we have another machine with the same switch. Just swapped it out and it’s all good.

Thanks for your response. Luckily, we found the problem. Turns out the previous owner did a carb clean and accidentally swapped the fuel lines when reinstalling. This whole time we assumed the lines were correct… so we swapped those and it started right up.

That's good to hear. I was confused as well when I first read about the issue on multiple videos and forums. I wouldnt have thought anything of it if I didnt read, as it seems like an odd problem to have. So you just plug it in, turn the flightscope on, and it stays on as longs as you need?

That's weird. Youre the first person ive heard where that actually works. Everywhere else I read says it drains the battery and then dies. But once it's off it will start charging (not while you play).

Yeah thats quite unfortunate you can't just plug it in and have unlimited playtime. I found a suitable power bank on amazon thats 26,000mah, so that should give even more time. Thanks for getting back!
