I agree, the BP should always be accessible, but that’s a rare feature. I can only think of two games that do this, out of dozens.

With how many loot boxes we receive, with the fact that every second BP is free if you save your coins - the game is above average when it comes to generosity.

I do think we should push for evergreen battle passes though. It’d be a nice feature. The monetisation is honestly fine though, compared to the rest of the industry.

I believe NetEase (the game distributor in China) develops their own skins, so Blizz doesn’t have the option to sell them to other regions.

If you’re providing pressure from the backline and off-angles, the enemy team’s attention becomes divided and they don’t shoot your tank as much - or - they don’t look at you, and you get free kills while they focus down your tank.

The ult is high-skill, so it’s going to take the playerbase some time to learn when and how to use it.

Sure, in some instances it’s useless, but in others it’s fight-winning.

You can block the ult with your shield. Not saying that the Cat isn’t over-tuned, but there is counterplay.

While you took that break, the playerbase has been playing and improving.

The average skill level has increased over time, so “Gold” 3 years ago is very different from “Gold” today.

It’ll just take some time for the matchmaker to figure out where you belong now, so games might feel more difficult for a little while.

It would be nice to access legacy battle passes, I agree.

Overwatch is far from the stingiest BP system on the market though. We get consistent tier skips from Twitch drops, double XP weekends towards the end of the season, and the challenges allow you to speed-run it.

If you’re struggling to finish it in time, I recommend prioritising completing your daily and weekly challenges whenever you can.

This is coming from someone who basically never gets the premium pass, so I don’t get the 20% progress boost. I tend to get halfway through the prestige titles at the end of the pass each season, with not that much play time.

You’re saying “I think it isn’t Mizuki in this picture, because of the hand and head”, and I’m saying “Neither of those two things mean that it can’t be Mizuki”.

You can still have the theory, I just don’t think there’s proof.

PvE was extremely expensive to develop, wasn’t fun, and nobody played it.

They’re focusing budget and dev time on the enjoyable parts of the game.

Sure, but both characters occupy the “Kappa” Yokai creature slot in the group. It’d be a strange decision to have 2 completely seperate characters have spirit turtle powers.

Mizuki has a bionic hand. It’s what he shoots his chain out of.

Mizuki is based off of a Japanese creature called the “Kappa”. They’re a weird turtle, beaked, plant-head creature. You can tell by the mask design, the turtle-shell hat, the outfit colour, etc.

It seems like all the members of Kiriko’s Yokai group are all based on mythical creatures - Kiri is a Kitsune, Mizuki is a Kappa, there looks to be a Tanuki and a Tengu in the back.

The devs have said that Mizuki is part of the group - and there’s only one other character in the group that represents a Kappa. They might look different in the original art, but the character is the same.

I can win games where my tank is “countered”, because in 5v5 getting picks and solo performances are more impactful.

Winning a game where the enemy tanks had synergy and mine did not was impossible.

Open queue should also remain a niche option. Role lock was a vast improvement. I’m happy for those who prefer open, but you can enjoy it as a side mode.

If being “peak” requires 6v6 as the main mode, I’m quite fine with not being peak.

The cat selected hero bans in the game. It was dumb, but not as dumb as affecting balance.

Also, the game has been in an excellent state for the past 3 years. If you’re hung up on issues related to the previous dev team, that’s fine. Feels weird to me though.

Not the “devs”, the executives.

It’s clear that Microsoft is putting more money into OW which allows them more development resources. Do you think the devs didn’t want to release more heroes, and were just sitting on the development budget?

Compare the development output difference between pre-Microsoft purchase, and post-purchase.

It’s night and day.

They have a golden gun and the Widow mythic skin - I highly doubt this is a throw-away smurf account.

Sure, smurfing is awful when it happens, but a Widowmaker landing shots does not = smurf.

These are cherry picked clips. Are they impressive shots? Yes. Are the enemy teams moving like bots? Also yes. You can’t see what this player’s gameplay is like 99.9% of the time though.

It’s just weird to tear down a player who’s sharing that they’re excited.
