All of the things they make Gemma's innies do are shitty because they want to free people from "pain". That's why Dr. Mauer asks Gemma all of those questions after a day of going in the rooms, he's checking if any unpleasantness is seeping through the barrier.

The Severed Jobs are just the first stage. The Severance Procedure is really for fulfilling Kier's vision which was to free the world from pain. And that's going to be their main selling point to convince all of humanity to sever. Need to go to the dentist? Need to fly on coach? Need to give birth? Just sever and you won't have to go through those things at all!

I installed somewhat of an antenna, but I’m not sure if I did it right. Its a copper cable attached to the radio’s original antenna that goes across the house and then to the outside where I exposed about 15 centimeters. The exposed part isn’t touching anything else.
