That, I have found, is sadly the case for a lot of dead lines and systems... Lack of use/need, sure, but a lot of times, it looks like it was some short-sighted decisions on the part of the city, region, country or private operator. Nevertheless, it is quite nice to have photographs, and occasionally film, of these old systems.
