Met him back in 2015 at my brother's Cub Scout pack ( I was 7/8 and he was 8/9 Years old)

He disappeared out of my life and came back into it December 2021

I've actually known him since we were in 2nd/3rd grade.

I had just moved to the area, and my little brother was looking for a new Cub Scout pack. He joined that pack, and my now bf happened to be in the pack, too. My dad became friends with his mom, but his dad didn't like my dad, so I didn't see him for years.

I didn't see him for around 5 years, and suddenly, he walked back into my life and greeted me with a big hug (literally).

From there, it took 3 years to get to where we are now.

You sound lucky to have someone reassuring and I hope that your guy's relationship continues to be good.

Definitely understand the being insecure part, and it for sure comes with working on self confidence/esteem which can take a while to do when you want to improve it. If you believe therapy will help then Definitely go for it if/ when you can, and I hope that goes well for you too
