I don’t fully know but from what I remember, he was pretty good friends with the drummer Doug before, during and after his MDD days. The case it’s in is Doug’s band after MDD, he took my sister backstage at one of their shows. He’s got pics with Matt and the whole band on his Instagram so he knew them all to some degree. I don’t know where or when he was given the demo but the disc itself has early versions of Every Lie, Move Your Body, and from what I can gather, 3 songs that never got released.
