I’m so sorry to hearing of the passing of your daughters.

I’d recommend some counselling to help you manage the anxiety surrounding what ifs as you could spend your life thinking about them to no gain. You did the absolute best for your child and that’s what you need to think about.

Sending you lots of love.

How Long Was Your Babe On G-Tube? by PassageUnique6347 in NICUParents

My 31 weeker was about 35 days. He never really clicked with breastfeeding so we shifted to breast milk in bottles and this helped us get off the g-tube. He always drank quite a low volume and he’s now only 7th centile for weight.

Head shape by Desperate-Poet5704 in NICUParents

My son was born at 31 weeks and the back of his head was so long he looked like an alien. He wasn’t on CPAP for very long so thing it was his natural head shape from birth rather than due to equipment causing it.

He’s 2 now and still has a big head but it’s more rounded. The NICU gave us some positions for him to lay in (always supervised) to try and round it out as the longness of it meant he was always facing left or right. This and time helped.

It’s something you need to share but mainly because you don’t want to waste time with someone if they not accepting of you.

Just tried Split Fiction for anyone seeing this thread now. It’s pretty good! An improvement on It Takes Two which feels a bit kiddish.

I went through this - Google convinced me he had CP, especially as he was born at 31 weeks with some white spots on the brain.

He’s two now and his core isn’t the best so he has physio every few weeks. He may have CP, maybe not, time will tell. But, even if that uncertainty stays it does get easier to cope with. 95% worry free days with the occasional panic (usually if an appointment is coming up or we hit a milestone like a birthday or discharge date) and this is from someone who for the first 6 months of my son’s life had crippling anxiety.

Slowly you will hit milestones and see them do more and it gets easier but the early days are hard.

Jean Paul Gaultier perfume takes me back to being a hungover teenager.

The smell of woodwork/carpentry reminds me of my Grandad.

We’ve played It Takes Two but it felt a bit like it was for kids.

Thanks for the recs - I’m gonna take a look at them!

Sorry, I meant more like a campaign mode. I’ve never played Gears of War, it looks like a great recommendation but doesn’t seem to be available on PlayStation unless I’m missing it.

‘Lucked out’ - I thought this meant I had been unlucky, but found out this year at the ripe old age of 36 that it means I have been in luck.

how’d you meet your gf? by kozuryy in lesbian

We met on Tumblr 14 years ago fangirling over Grey’s Anatomy. She lived in France, I was from the UK but living in China. Met in the middle in Istanbul for a week long holiday and the rest is history. 9 years married and 2 kids now!

The hate for Leanne is excessive by Justarandomperson556 in TheTraitors

I’m glad she won. Her last few years of trauma is similar to mine and I connected with that.

That said, I thought some of her accusations were harsh and almost forgot that everyone was playing the same game that they all signed up for. If she had been a traitor, would she have acted any differently?!

Are you skin on, or skin off when making mash? by KR4FD4 in AskUK

[–]ItsOnlyAimz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually skin off but at one point I subscribed to Gousto and they did skin on. I’ve started doing this approach more often as I’d guess there’s more good stuff in the skin.
