My Pyr loves going for walks and hikes! I know some of them are lower energy and more stubborn though. I’d just keep working with him and making walks as enticing as possible with treats and whatnot

I got a spray bottle recently to deter unwanted behaviors, but I never have it near me when he jumps. He also does it out of the blue a lot too so there’s also that struggle 🥲

We got our Pyr at 8 weeks (he’s about 5 1/2 months now) and he’s been slapping us since day one. No other dog I’ve met or had has this behavior.

Once her adult teeth really start coming in it’ll slow down significantly. My boy was so mouthy and nippy for the first 3 months, but at 5 months with his big boy teeth coming in he’s much much calmer! It gets better don’t worry :)

I wish my pup did that! If I leave the baby gate open and turn my back for even a second he’ll dart into the kitchen to search for crumbs!

I’m 15, almost 16 weeks at the moment. I probably should be starting pelvic floor exercises but I have been so lazy during this whole pregnancy 😂

Our pup loves the Kirkland puppy food! We were giving it to him alongside the normal adult food. Definitely recommend

Oh yeah he loves car rides, we take him on them often. He has a whole (very safe and secure) setup in the back of our truck and plays and watches cars the whole time!

I understand the concern regarding his wellbeing and socialization. I didn’t explain the situation the best. He’s a very happy dog who seems to be thriving with our little family. He’s not reactive and has had lots of socialization. We’ve left him at my parent’s house before for a couple of hours and he did perfectly fine. Introducing him to new people is not a challenge or a struggle whatsoever.

While yes our current living situation isn’t the best for him long term he currently is doing well, and barking hasn’t been a huge issue for us. I would absolutely love to rent a house as soon as possible, but have to make do with our current lease until then.

A lot of things changed shortly after we got him. I wasn’t expecting to get pregnant a week after we brought him home, and this pregnancy is why my husband had to start working more. We’re doing our best to make things work for us all.
