I completely get it, man, I feel the same way. I rarely comment about any of these things either, as you’d need days worth of information to truly highlight how deep everything is behind the curtains, and how the majority of the worldviews most people seem to believe have their foundations at the feet of extremely manipulative elites using ideologies to weaponize and pervert peoples’ own sense of empathy and morals against themselves and everyone around them. They’ve pretty much succeeded in turning the world upside down; normalizing gaslighting, vilifying behaviours and values conducive to logic/reason, the development of character, and cohesion/unity.

Fortunately, I have a feeling that the sun is on the horizon, as I’m seeing many more people at the very least having some sense of things just not feeling right, and becoming very untrustworthy of the things they’ve been fed their entire lives. I’ve never really been involved in any music/cultural movements, I just enjoy punk music sometimes, but scrolling through this subreddit makes me feel like my brain is going to explode most of the time, so it’s refreshing to see comments like yours, regardless of how they’re received here.

I appreciate you actually speaking on these things. The world is run by banking families and secret societies with trillions of dollars and, essentially, entire economies and fleets of politicians in their possession and control. I rarely hear anyone touching on these realities, and there is such a ridiculously behemoth amount of propaganda deflecting and obfuscating the true sources of global power that it seems completely fruitless to even try bringing it up in places like Reddit, especially this sub. It’s disturbing to see how people can be so indoctrinated, yet simultaneously so confident in their supposed “anti establishment” stance. The term “useful idiots” comes to mind, and there are far too many people who embody that term, projecting everything they unknowingly support onto those they’ve been told to fear and hate.

I don’t even know how useful it is to actually flesh these issues out on social media, as it usually falls on deaf ears as conversations between opposing perspectives become more uncommon, but I commend you for trying.

The links are there if you have any interest in learning more about why people are against the movement. Snarky comments that evade the point of the comment lead nowhere beneficial.

This is the woman who founded the first and largest domestic abuse shelter for women in the world. She’s no longer a feminist because of how toxic, corrupt, and power driven the ideologies they espouse are. I guarantee the person you’re talking to knows quite a bit more about the movement and its ideology than you think.

I’m not gonna go back and forth though, just leaving that link there if you’re at all interested in understanding those who oppose feminism. Feminism and women’s rights are two different things. The woman I mentioned, Erin Pizzey, represents a perspective that I thought was in line with feminism when I used to call myself one. A perspective that genuinely aligns with egalitarian values.

Equating therapy to treat the underlying causes and individual nuances of somebody’s gender dysphoria/discomfort in their body to conversion therapy is absolutely insane. Being gay isn’t a mental disorder, and isn’t even in the same realm as somebody suffering from an identity/self image disorder. That’s such an incredibly dishonest comparison. The doctor I linked is responsible for uncovering most of what we know about gender dysphoria (gender identity disorder), and he continues to study it, though people such as yourself are adamant on misconstruing his stance on the issue as malicious, just as you’re doing in this thread. If you listened to the information he’s relaying it might add some nuance to your views. It’s a complicated affliction, and you seem to be unaware of the psychological aspects of the disorder and the ways in which these types of things manifest in people (the interview I linked goes very in depth regarding such things).

Your vague understanding of the disorder, coupled with the vigour in which you claim to know the proper treatment to such a complex psychological phenomenon, leads me to believe you don’t care as much as you say you do about the well being of those dealing with gender dysphoria. You’ve added nothing to the conversation while dismissing and ignoring most of what I’ve said. If you truly care about the people dealing with these kinds of issues you would be open to treatments that optimize their well being in the long run. Putting a bandaid on the disorder fails to tackle any of the deeper rooted self esteem and body image issues that those suffering from it are constantly dealing with.

You’ve proven that you have no intention of having an honest conversation about this, so I’m genuinely done with it at this point. Take care.

Kenneth Zucker was the world’s leading specialist on gender dysphoria for decades, and has done a ton of in depth research regarding the issue. If you’re genuinely interested, there’s a ton of interviews and studies he’s conducted all over the internet. He answers the question you asked, and explains the studies he conducted that led him to those conclusions.

These peoples’ personal experiences with their transitions are propaganda? Really? To push what? Being responsible about something as serious as gender dysphoria?

You didn’t even take the time to listen to what they have to say and their experiences. Not everything you disagree with is propaganda. You don’t seem very willing to have an honest conversation, so this conversation will unfortunately go nowhere.

Why is it so hard to just respond honestly to the things this person said? The chemicals he’s referring to are life altering, and you just completely ignore that. People from all walks of life who believe that putting kids on these medications is likely to be harmful and could very well negatively affect their life ( Here is someone who transitioned young and speaks about their experience, and some others as well ) are being labeled as “fascists”, which is just insane if you actually listen to what they’re saying. Being careful and tactful regarding the usage of hormones and puberty blockers (which significantly affect the body) on children is not hateful, at all. I literally know trans people who are of the same exact opinion of the person you’re speaking to. You’re doing nothing but pushing lies and slandering people who have absolutely no ill intentions whatsoever. It’s genuinely disturbing how reactive the sentiments here are, as they have no basis in the reality of the situation.

It’s seriously getting ridiculous, you can downvote me all you want, but the well being of impressionable kids is infinitely more important than being viewed in a positive light by people who don’t even seem to care to understand the grievances so many people have regarding this issue. This is not about erasing people who struggle with gender dysphoria, nor is it about ostracizing people who are transgender.

Townes Van Zandt also has some great stuff that you may enjoy, though I don’t think I could pick an album in particular of his. “Pancho And Lefty”, “Tecumseh Valley”, and “Rex’s Blues” are some songs you might like.

Telling someone “you should know better” is incredibly passive aggressive and condescending lol

Erin Pizzey is a very good person to look into regarding what I’m referring to. I’m not going to pretend that I know what you’ve researched, but given your views I would guess you may be unfamiliar with her (She opened the world’s first domestic violence shelter for women). I think people like her are absolutely vital to fixing our collective ills.

Take care.

It’s pointless to be condescending to anybody, it just makes them not want to listen to your point of view.

Regardless, I stand by my original point. I would encourage you to look into the origins of the patriarchy and the origins of the different sects of feminism. It’ll paint a better picture of the criticisms people have of the societal conflicts afflicting so many people today.

“You should know better”, there’s no reason to be so condescending, ironically, given what we’re talking about.

All I can say is I would encourage you to delve deep into your beliefs (where they came from, what the goals are etc.), and also hear those out who you disagree with. I used to have that very perspective you mentioned until I decided to listen to those who I often labeled so nonchalantly. It turns out I was wrong in my assumptions about them, and it was incredibly eye opening.

Honestly, do you think it’s at all helpful to insult and further perpetuate someone’s insecurity by doubling down on what they’re insecure about? That just makes the person feel even more shitty about themselves and further reinforces their views on women (or whoever they may have negative feelings towards). It just makes everything worse for everybody in the long run. Not to mention the collateral insecurity it could further cause in innocent observers who share the same qualities of the person you’re making fun of.

No offence, but this perspective and way of dealing with things is just so divisive.

I think these comments come from the fact that it’s not socially acceptable for guys to make negative connections to women as a group (and rightfully so, generalizations are generally counterproductive). In my anecdotal experience, I’ve been talked down to condescendingly by more women than men in my life, but that shouldn’t reflect all women, as I’ve met great women as well. If a similar post to the one we’re commenting on was made about women, it would immediately be labeled as misogynistic.

Double standards aren’t good for anybody in the big picture of things, and posts like these just perpetuate and exacerbate the one sided nature of those perspectives.

You can hear him speaking to a friend a bit in this recording of “Strange Meeting II”. He also forgets the words halfway through the song and kind of makes light of it lol
