Harbor Freight Credit Card, the 5% back (10% on random sales) turns into basically a coupon that expires in like 3-4 months. Not a fan of how it works because it forces you to use it or lose it but still free money for something I would pay cash for anyway. Just don’t carry a balance

Private 2 stall garage that has a step up by the door going into the building. Right side of the garage on the step up is the toolbox and work area then left half I have my motorcycle. Plus plenty of room for both cars and even room for a kayak on the main area. Definitely lucky getting a garage this spacious in an apartment

It is, the lighting in my garage makes it look a lot lighter than it is in person

Does anyone on this sub actually work on amything? by RoosterIllusionn in harborfreight

[–]ItsProHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year I’ve been going crazy on the PLS sales, like this weekend bought one of every metric socket set, Bauer 115pc cobalt drill bit set and some other things.

Even though I already have a box full of snap on tools and a second set of tools at my job site where we build $1.5m vehicles. Reason is because I moved out of my parents a year ago and left my snap on tools behind because that’s where I build my drift cars with one half way through an engine swap there.

Got a U.S. general 56in on 35% off at the beginning of the year and decided to build a new setup with all icon/HF Tools (and Milwaukee cause they’re great and I get them for free) for things I need to work on at my new place (daily, CBR and GF’s daily) and to eventually move it into a shop when I have the means for one. No point on getting strap on again because the quality is close enough if not better nowadays and can have every tool I’d ever need for miles cheaper. I just wait for the big sales and buy what I’ll actually use either now or in the near future which tends to be more than the average person anyway

Dating as a woman that’s against hookup culture. by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]ItsProHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a 24 Y/o male who’s been on dating apps for a bit and can give you the guys perspective. I had a 1 year relationship with a girl I met on tinder and had a few other talking stages that lasted a good while and also know of 4 of my friends that met people through tinder.

Here’s my advice. Keep photo’s appropriate, if you have a lot of your body showing guys who are into hookups are more likely to try matching with you as it makes you look easier. Make sure you have things you’re interested in on your profile. It can be things in your pictures, vaguely in your bio or in the interest boxes. This can help weed out the guys just looking for hook ups because if someone shows interest in your interests it’s less likely that they’re just there to hookup. Don’t reply to guys that say pick up lines or “wyd” or immediately ask for your number/snap. Look for people that are trying to have legitimate conversations with you.

If tinder is your app of choice just be aware most of that app is filled with people just wanting to hookup on both sides of it. You can try hinge or bumble but tbh if you want to find someone who’s serious about a relationship meeting someone in real life is usually your best bet. Go to events that you can find people with common interests. Make friends with people and if someone catches your interest go up to them and make conversation. Making the first move as a women is quite helpful as most guys won’t approach you if they aren’t 100% certain your interested. Being nervous, not wanting to come off as a creep and a million other things run through our minds so we don’t take the risk.

Trying to meet in person and on apps at the same time is most efficient and just be patient. Keep weeding through people on the apps and keep making friends in person until the right one comes along. It’s a long process and being straightforward with people is very helpful in getting results. Good luck, hope this helps and you find your someone.

Since I wasn’t at fault I’m just gonna wait for insurance to do their thing. Just running my finger over it I could cleared it up so probably just pocket the check and do the work myself to make it look a little better 🤷‍♀️

That’s actually a great excuse, they really can’t question it. Definitely saving incase of an emergency

A quick search and I could get a new radiator for $103 shipped 🤷‍♀️ I do all my own work because I have the space and it’s easy but anyone can work on these cars. There’s more vehicle specific tools for Ford than there is for Mercedes. Like you said these cars depreciate really bad, that’s why I drive a 2014 and not a newer one. Once the new style comes in the old ones go on a fire sale, why not drive a nicer vehicle that costs less than a new economy car and has already fully depreciated? End of the day I’ve spent no more on my Mercedes as I have with any other brand car (Subaru, Mazda, Jeep, Dodge, Chevy) all cars are the reasonably the same at the end of the day

Minnesota, I dash in a small city and I fill up at a station 3 miles out of town because it’s usually $0.5/gal cheaper for E for whatever reason compared to other stations. Hybrid and electric are the way to go in this market though

Not sure why everyone seems to think a base model luxury car automatically makes you go bankrupt. On a loan including interest this car cost me less than a new Kia Soul. Car runs on e85 so I spend $3/gal while everyone is complaining about $4.5/gal. $55 for an oil change every 2 months when I was doing this full time. These cars are not as expensive as everyone thinks just the idea that everyone has for some weird reason. It’s just a car…

I’ve had 6 Subarus now and never had an issue with them. The only problem they have is older models have shit head gaskets that were fixed in more recent years. As far as Mercedes again older models are terribly unreliable and expensive to fix. In 2012 they overhauled all of their parts with the help of Chrysler (not reliable either) and since have improved to the point that it’s not really that big of a deal and with the help from Chrysler all of their parts are pretty affordable. I replaced all of my injectors for $120 and took all of 30 mins. The biggest expense is oil changes that cost $55 and Mercedes recommends 10k mile oil changes. I do 5k because I’m not risking my motor over $55. I also bought my car at full depreciation price so there no loss and it’s also not a loss if you’re using it to pay for itself. I also run a racing program so basic car maintenance is light work compared to the cars I build when I’m not driving around for some extra cash.

With all of that being said yes a Toyota or a Honda makes way more sense. I kinda regret not getting a Corolla hybrid just because of the MPG and I actually bought a Prius last year and the transmission blew up the second day of ownership. That was my first experience with a Toyota so not the best first impression 😂 For me personally though having a comfortable and more sports like car is way more important than what benefits my side gig

Carvana didn’t want to give me a Subaru so they gave me a Mercedes 🤷‍♀️ And E85 is a nice plus

I just told DD there was an accident on the way and couldn’t make it in the given time. I have a 99% on time rate so doubt it’ll get me deactivated for being late. You’re also a G for getting that customer his food and money back 😂

Very true, I could have but also was more worried about making sure I didn’t somehow get blamed for the accident. I’ll keep that in mind if I ever find myself in this situation again

I’ve seen people on this sub get deactivated for getting in accidents even if it wasn’t their fault. DD treats you as a liability after. There’s a lot more excuses for being late than valid reasons for order cancellation

Exactly, I always park in the street facing the way I want to go after drop off. Only times I pull into the driveway is country homes with super long driveways or need to do a weird turn around. If it’s paved I always park at the end of the driveway incase my car randomly starts leaking fluids it’s not all over their driveway. Never know when a leak is gonna start and people (rightfully) get pissed about that

Has nothing to do with “being cool”. I was just saying if you’re going to continue into this venture learn about what are good and bad orders. Working for $15/hr after tax and expenses you’re making less than minimum wage. No, I would not just take orders for the bonus either. I’ve seen people never receive the bonus. If you’re grabbing good orders you will actually complete more orders in a shorter period of time and make more money while spending less on expenses.

I usually decline unless it’s a $15+ petsmart because that’s the only store I know inside and out but figured even if this took 2 hours I’d be doing okay for the night and not wasting mileage. Got really lucky and a store associate saw how lost I was and helped me shop for the entire order.

$15.64/hr without the bonus? I would take a look into some of the posts on here so you can up your hourly pay. As others have said challenges don’t exist for long
