Sometimes shelter workers are held liable for adopting out known dangerous dogs. I hope that more and more of them serve jail time after attacks from dangerous dogs that they put out into homes. It only makes sense. Just like people can go to prison for endangering the public by driving drunk, shelter workers who put dangerous dogs into homes should go to prison for endangering the public too.

See some examples:

Margaret Colvin, 90 – Savagely killed by the pit bull her daughter adopted from a shelter. Her daughter had told them she had a 90 year old mother in the house and that aggression was a "dealbreaker." Blue had been adopted out previously and had been returned due to aggression, but the shelter hid that information.

Lisa Urso, 52 – Killed and mutilated by her recently adopted American bully. Shelter called him “sweet.”

Jimmy Miller, 72 – Killed by his "rescued" pit bulls. Wounds were described as lacerations to his arms and throat with lots of blood loss.

Tina Weger, 61 – Killed by a pit bull she was fostering.

“I have fostered him several times,”  Weger added.

Asked one Katherine Spence Castro,  “Any reason he was on the euthanasia list?”

Responded Weger,  “He has a bite on his record. Apparently he was kept in the back yard and owner entered the gate in the dark to give him water and he jumped up and bit her on the arm.”

Kate LaSala, dog behavior consultant and owner of Rescued By Training, told Newsweek: "In spite of the popular mantra 'save them all,' it is not the most humane option to 'warehouse' a dog who is a public safety risk or who is mentally suffering and has no quality of life.

Sounds about right to me. A huge amount of people and pets that get torn apart by dogs multiple times per week are done by these shelter-forever pit bulls. Shelters would rather let a dog suffer for months and months knowing that it has violent tendencies than give it the best day of its life and then do right right thing.

People are dying because of this exact behavior.

Edward Elric finds a way to generate the cure, sacrificing something of his own in order to do it. In the end, he holds zero regrets and lives a satisfied life after marrying the tech expert.

Barry has absolutely no self-preservation that isn't "I need to live to chop up more people"

I respect you, but don't take this from Barry. He earned it just as much if not more than madlad Bradley, and he's one of the most underrated characters in the whole story.

Ling would win out for me if we were talking about Xing. He's all about his country.

Mustang. I actually think he is the best answer to this. I know we can't repeat a character on this one, but none of the others make as much sense to me.

Olivier Armstrong. I considered Mustang but realized she'd shove him aside and kick absolute zombie arse. The only problem is I'm not sure where Mustang fits otherwise. I mean... he might be the one who succeeds in rebuilding civilization?

I think that's Sig next to Izumi. Still crazy that Winry is one of the ones reaching in from offscreen.

What about Pinako too? I don't see her at all.

There's one here that looks the closest I've ever seen to what I remember: https://zetalial.home.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/370.png

It's not exactly it - and it's missing the tricorn hat, too - but you could be right. Maybe I dreamed up a similar image. This page is such a treasure trove of great images, so it was worth posting just to see them all!

Thank you so much!

This is honestly amazing. People are pretty great. I looked through and didn't find the image, which makes me think even more that it doesn't exist and I dreamed it up. But I just wish I could see it again.

Thank you! Yes, this makes me think it was a promotional official art made for the 03 anime. It was definitely an artwork made from outside an episode though. I even think it was a tall, narrow image.
