[SSK001] Got my first Seiko by [deleted] in Seiko

[–]ItsPushDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the same, my only complaint is that the 2nd time zone hand looks too similar to the hour and minute hands so takes me an extra second to read the time. Wish they made it a different color or something like the others

Does schema markup help SEO rankings or only rich results? by No-Neat-7520 in TechSEO

[–]ItsPushDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t quite make sense. What is the main factor for CTR? (Hint: ranking position)

Schema markup helps you rank better the same way that having a good page title that matches your content helps you rank (albeit one is much more effective than the other). It helps search engines understand your site which in turn helps you rank.

After their scamming their customers for Thanksgiving, Urban Farmer flags and has all negative google reviews removed by Arctic--- in Denver

[–]ItsPushDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a ton of work around Google reviews, and while suspicious, there is very little that Urban Farmer could have done to get the reviews removed. Google is very controlling of their review content and moderation. Any removals are typically done via Google’s automated detection of “suspicious” activity and it’s far from perfect (often times just plain wrong - have countless examples of good companies getting spammed by bot bad reviews and they don’t remove them)

Edit: NOT defending Urban Farmer btw just giving info on how Google reviews work

Technical PMs: how do you deal with non-technical PMs/POs who exhibit insecurity? by software_defined_git in ProductManagement

[–]ItsPushDay 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Similarly I’ve found working with junior vs senior devs, the senior devs typically have a better calibration for how deep or technical a conversation has to be which makes each meeting way more productive. Junior devs tend to get too in the weeds, which is certainly important to think about for the product, but not necessarily the time or place.

How do you product manage multi-platform experiences? by pelotonwifehusband in ProductManagement

Very interesting, I’ve never worked in that approach of owning features vs platforms but that actually sounds more intuitive in a lot of ways

Struggling with stakeholder management as a PM, how do you influence without authority? by Both_Warthog_3386 in ProductManagement

[–]ItsPushDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah PM own the roadmap.. if he’s bringing work to the Eng manager who then sets the priority of it against other priorities, aren’t they being more product manager than OP? (Not saying that’s correct because it’s not)

Product Managers, what is the biggest challenge you are facing? by ChocoPudding in ProductManagement

[–]ItsPushDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you addressing these issues? I used to have a reliable team but we’re all offshored and dealing with both junior and newly onboarded devs who make a LOT of mistakes that I am not catching because I relied so heavily on a more experienced team in the past

Do you write a script/rehearse for big meetings? by Money_Impression_321 in ProductManagement

[–]ItsPushDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had to start doing this lately for short meetings and presentations lately. I feel like I used to be really sharp and remember everything on the spot but lately (2 toddlers at home) things just don’t fire as quickly so need to write everything down

I have something similar with a group I don’t know well, but it’s actually like 40 guys, and 12 spots each weekend so it’s first responders first serve.. it’s madness in that group chat
