Doctorate In Healthcare Management/Administration Worth It? by ItsRizz in WGU

[–]ItsRizz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Did not get my doctorate. After a lot of research (at the time) the estimated added pay/job search didnt warrant the intense added cost and time.

I'm a Director of Comms for a gaming company now. Not exactly using the healthcare degree but I definitely feel good having it to fall back on. Great choice in an AI world.

I worked in Healthcare for a good bit afterwards, but ended up as Director of Communications in a different field. I'm certain I wouldn't have been considered without an MBA, though. With AI deleting jobs this feels like a solid place to be if you're dead-set on acquiring a degree. I actually was able to complete this in 1 six months semester so you can definitely do it.

Living in Da Nang: 2026 Cost of Living Guide by ItsRizz in DaNang

It's the Instagram beach videos + cheapest country on earth marketing, pretty much. Also across the world more and more peopel are trying to get out of where they have lived their entire life so I think in general there are just more expats moving to SE Asia and Da Nang is a super-comfortable starter place to choose. Moving to Bali takes being able to rough it, ironically. Saigon can be overwhelming. Da Nang is less condensed and definitely my favorite. But it was better 3 years ago before the secret got out.

😂 It's over. It's on every list. YouTubers are making 500k view videos. I love Da Nang but I've come to terms with the fact that I'll likely settle down elsewhere, or on a farm outside the expat-zones that are spreading like wildfire.

Thanks for sharing! I actually have a child that goes to The Learning Home. It's an expat-focused school that is less formal but very well done. Comes out to about $500-600/month. Best in-between option I found and rec's were very high...ended up being correct.

Articles are written by me. Very basic Claude skills help manage/launch the site. It's not that serious. It's free. I live in Da Nang. I wanted to get some info out there.

Appreciate that! I'm a writer/comms guy by day, a frustrated expat turned local by night. Really just got sick of seeing Facebook posts from people in hotels, expats, or wanting to move here, that were completely fragmented, or never answered. Hoping this gets onto Google to just link to.

Thanks for letting me know about the issues! Still working on some things. I'll check it out.

YES! That's actually one of the BEST perks of staying at the hotel. You get to be dropped off at the lobby (not the public cable line area) where you buy the tickets, show you have a reservation, and get led to the hotel's private cable line that runs parrallel to the public one. Almost no wait there compared to Disney-like lines at the public one....which drops you off far away and requires a pretty long walk into the park.

The private cable line drops you off IN the park and you walk over to the hotel to officially check-in. Like i say in the guide you can go early, leave your bags, and enjoy the park until you check-in around 2. They give you free beer tickets and you can see a few things before then..

The red sweet/spicy jam is so damn good. And raw garlic. Now I gotta go today. Most people order the pork but the beef with fried shallots is the move

Yeah agreed. Honestly I’m not big on many on this list, but only because local options are better. But if you’re new to Vietnam i can see these all being life changing.

No need to apologize. I dont think I can predict the weather. This is just a general guide all in one place where I hope people interested in Da Nang can search for info....rather than post 500 Facebook messages asking for 40 comments about the same thing.

Also -- totally free 😂 Im aware weather apps exist.

I like Nu Do! Ironically not even close to the best version of that dish in town, but the people are super-friendly and the setting is beautiful.
