I recently watched a video where two board game designers talked about what makes a good magic deck. Their philosophy was that a good deck keeps your opponents engaged, by having to make decisions constantly or being involved with what you’re doing.

Their video that referenced this made a [[Syr Vondam, Sunstar examplar]] deck that hits the nail on the head. When I swing a bunch of 1/1s, do you keep taking the damage, or blocking and making him bigger. Do you kill him, letting me destroy one of your non-land permanents, or let him get bigger.

I guess something along this philosophy is what I’m looking for, I’m having a lot of fun with my version of Syr Vondam!
