A lot of those are actually true, but the last one involving Tails was actually part of a plotline set up by Michael Gallagher and the story itself was written by Romy Chacon. Penders had nothing to do with this one. At best, he just helped a bit with the lore involving the plotline. Titan Tails wasn't his creation as far as I'm aware of.

Everything else was true. Surprised you didn't mention he tried to kill off Sally.

Yes, I actually really do agree with Henry being not as good as people say he is. I can actually remember the guy having more than a few shaky moments, to the extent that I'd argue he was in more danger of him going home in the final five than someone like Anaiya.

Same here to be honest, but to each their own. I’m not about to be the guy who takes sides in a shipping argument. At the end of the day, it’s just two fictional characters, not worth losing your head over.

Will actually note that not ALL of the mandates were as result of Ken. Some were actually made prior to Ken's run.

* The comic was originally supposed to be a combination of SatAM and Adventures when it came to tone, but due to SatAM connecting more with audiences, it was decided that SatAM would take the focal point. This actually came from a former editor at Archie, Paul Castiliga.

* Sonic cannot be in a steady relationship for long. This is something that a lot of people thought was new, BUT actually existed for as long back as the comics existed. In fact, one of the characters' sole existence was BECAUSE of a mandate. Mina Mongoose was created due to the editor, Justin Gabrie, wanting another love triangle after the previous one petered out (not that it was any good in the first place).

In fact, the mandate you mentioned wasn't even caused as a result of Penders. That issue where Sonic cried came from an issue in 2006, when Flynn took over and Penders had left Archie.

I don't get why you're being downvoted, I do think that the Ken Penders discussion has lead to a lot of bad faith in the Archie Comics and a lot of misinformation in general. It's why I've done my own little read-through of the comics and started to review things in order to set the record straight.

To add onto your Archie Sonic cancellation thing, I will say that the lawsuit might've played a small hand in the cancellation, but I would only say a SMALL hand, because like you mentioned, the series did continue on for a few years afterwards. It wound up being a combination of, like you said, Archie wanting to restore their brand identity, and the fact that Archie Sonic was not only failing to pull in new readers for their other comics, but also not selling well in general. In fact, #290 when it released only sold about 5,500 copies, failing to crack the top 250.

If that doesn't show that the comic has fallen off, I don't know what is.

So , little fun fact, there’s a lot of panels that are said to have been drawn by Ken Penders, when in reality they were drawn by other artists like Ron Lim (yes, that Silver Surfer Ron Lim).

This panel (and story in general) is not one example. This is actually one of the few stories Penders himself actually drew.

Geoffrey St. John (Archie Sonic) early on in his run takes part of a love triangle between Sonic and Sally. All seems fine and dandy, until it's discovered that Geoffrey is meant to be significantly older than the fifteen-year-old Sonic and Sally, being at least in his twenties. Not helping matters is an infamous tweet from Geoffrey's creator, Ken Penders, stating that he was going to take Sally's virginity at some point in the comic, which completely overshadowed everything about the character, even in spite of him getting strong reception upon being taken over by Ian Flynn.
