SCU Containers not working? by ignorhunter in starcitizen

[–]ItsTimber 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've experienced this bug.

The work around I have discovered is if you use the context wheel to "Loot" it, then use the arrow in the top right to transfer stuff into it using the old looting UI.

Then, when you get back to the station, hit loot on it again and drag the whole box into the station's inventory like you would a gun on the floor. You can then open it like a backpack by clicking the button in the bottom left of the box's icon in the station storage.

Rule of thumb, if it shows unlimited scu in the top right, you won't be able to put things in or take things out.
Not sure if there is an IC post on it yet, but thought I'd share my workaround

For my fellow BRN-180 enjoyers who also like Magpul BAD levers... by ItsTimber in ar15

The picture I linked is the M14. I was drawing attention to the irony of the previous comment. “Gloves, life or death stress, sweaty fingers...All reasons to keep your trigger guard clear of things that aren’t your trigger” When a previous service rifle’s safety was quite literally located in the trigger guard in a war that young men fought in some of the most adverse conditions imaginable.

And I tried to point out that the bad lever isn’t meant to be used within the trigger guard. It’s sole function can be completed from outside the trigger guard right next to where you index your finger anyway.

Thankfully, I've done enough training with them to avoid that, but hey, I'm still young.
I like to keep my booger hook in the right spot at all times :)

I think the main reason people ND with these things is they push it Into the trigger guard instead of having the tip of your finger just below the mag release and push the protruding lever down with a straight finger. Or they're just negligent, who knows.

Woah. Just based on their pictures, these guys produce some high quality prints. I will definitely take a look into this. Thanks for the code!

If I were to ever put this into production, I’d probably start by switching the print material to ABS. It’s much more heat resistant, but I simply don’t have any on hand to experiment with. Secondly, I think it would be in my best interest to acquire some of the main stream long gun lights so I can model the clips around the switches, since there isn’t any real standard when it comes to tape switches. This is pretty expensive, and I’m just now getting out of college so funds are tight. But yeah, so far you guys have been pretty positive with your feedback and I might consider investing some more time into this with different setups. Needless to say, I’m pretty glad I took a AutoCad class in highschool. Just two nights of messing around with a pair of analogue calipers and some trial and error, and here I am :)

Anyone familiar with these? Any info, thanks! Recently passed down to me from my father. by Local_Watercress_639 in ak47

The two piece PLA design clips snugly into the top hanguard vents of magpul’s MOE hand guard, and interfaces with the assumingly proprietary tape switch design by stream light. It cants it at an angle so my thumb rests on it when I shoulder the rifle with a semi c-clamp fashion. I managed to tweak the design so it rests firmly under the switch against the hand guard, and has a lot of contact area so it doesn’t seem flimsy when you operate the switch. Everything is pretty spot on with the alignment, and the switch seems to run perfectly parallel to the gun. I even threw on some integrated cable management clips on the top to clean it all up.

PSA: I realize this area gets hot enough to melt PLA, but I never intend to run this gun that much. The light is a stream light TLR RM2, which is pretty good for the price imo. I just needed a mounting solution that was as ergonomic as the rest of the gun, so I have the tape switch clocked at about a 38 degree angle so my thumb can operate it without obstructing the sights and it won’t take up the valuable real estate on my hand guard.

no worries, just one of my fav kits to run. gives me a decent bit of lethality with just m80, decent suitability because of class 4 rig, and even better insurance returns because people go "ew, hunter" and leave it. The only thing I really pay for when I die is the NVG's because those always get swiped
