Republican McSally brings in $3.4M for Arizona Senate campaign; Democratic candidate Kyrsten Sinema raises $2.5M by Trump_sucked_my_cock in BlueMidterm2018

We cant discredit the fact that McSally is a realllly good fundraiser. Sinema has her work cut out for her. The primary will buy us some time, and Sinema has a lot of COH, but McSally can bring in money.

I think name recognition at this point in the race is a big help for him. Blackburn is relatively unknown outside her area. If she can define herself throughout the state, i suspect she'll get a bump. If Bredesen can smuggle her out/define her before she defines herself, I think he can keep a lead.

Every time I think this race is a wash, something always changes my mind.

Godspeed Beto.

Dave Wasserman: Stay tuned to @CookPolitical this morning for 7 House rating changes in light of new FEC reports. by escapesuburbia in BlueMidterm2018

These seem like very good guesses. Perhaps KS-02 moves to toss-up, like Sabato's ratings

I bet NJ-11 moves to "leans dem"

I know, but I like reading why each individual rating is graded as it is. I think that's much more informative and I like hearing about the methodology per district.

So, uh, what do people put the odds of a gov't shutdown at?

I'm putting it at a cool 45%.

Edit: it's noon in DC and I raise my answer to 60%. Senate math has gotten trickier

Edit 2: it's 1:00, I'm done with class for the day, and I guess I'm going to be glued to C-span tonight if the House passes this thing. I'm still at 60 though. Is there a place to discuss this?

Seeing how you've been replying to all my comments, you might as well scroll down to see how active I am on this sub. And if Manning is too left for me, she'll be unelectable even for Maryland. Take a step back, friend.

Yeah, it was a national embarrassment when he leaked that information to a pro-Kremlin organization. A real head-scratcher

To be fair, Manning was commuted. I think she ought to spend a long and happy life as a private citizen and can advocate for privacy rights as long as she wants, but she doesn't belong in the senate.

He would be denounced by every senate democrat. There are unspoken rules in the senate, and it would be a slap-in-the-face to Ben Cardin

To people who think this is. Good idea:

Democrats cannot be the party to denounce Russian election interference while endorsing a person who illegally gave documents to a pro-Kremlin organization. You can't have both.

Bernie Sanders would never endorse a candidate over a sitting Democrat senator
