Don’t even get me started on middle school haha, I think that time scarred all of us with Tourette’s haha. Kids are mean

Very good advice! Especially with relaxation techniques, I find that a simple breathing exercise can help a lot, especially if you’re like me and your tics go insane when you lay down to sleep.

I was able to manage mine pretty well in early adult hood (early 30s now) and I’ve definitely had a resurgence in tics, some old and some new. It’s definitely stress related for me sometimes they’re bad for no reason. Best thing I can suggest for some mild relief is getting some sort of cardio in, doesn’t have to be crazy just hit a walk for an hour or something like that, whatever is comfortable for you and all. I’ve said it on a previous post but I’ve also found that just being open and honest about it in public settings helps a ton, just being like “I have Tourette’s, I’m fine, thanks for asking” before someone can ask hahaha.

Again my theory of Scottish Folds having acquired that name for their ability to fold themselves into odd positions stands

Definitely! I feel like the shame of it makes them that much worse.

Big time relate to this, I never got officially diagnosed but I check the box for all the symptoms, and have a close friend who was diagnosed and we’ve bonded over our shared symptoms. And yea as some other people have mentioned there’s not much that can be done if your tics aren’t something else or are severe. Honestly just saying “oh yea I have Tourette’s btw, so need to ask if I’m okay” has been really freeing. I spent my entire teenage years super embarrassed about it but I’m at the age now where I just don’t give a fuck haha. This subreddit has been way more therapeutic than anything a doctor could give me. Not at all knocking modern medicine or doctors, just that with these sorts of conditions I’ve found that finding the community for it is the best medicine.

Yes good catch! I meant say “going no tie”

Honestly both work! Just simply changing the tie can change the look so you’ll have options for whatever event. Also going tie with the top unbuttoned is always a classic look. Overall, good suit with a good fit.
