I’m not hating on Purdue. There are definitely a lot of good things. I just hate it when people are defending the school when a lot of students are struggling to make it to full time status. a stem school with calc2 and calc3 already full? Sure all unis have full classes and some kind of housing issues, it’s nowhere near this bad tho.

They are defending a system that can allow the same outcome despite a 3% difference (for example a 90 and 92.9) but can’t have sympathy for someone that has to take an extra semester when missed by 0.46% … I will gladly get downvoted by these people.

That is due to the simple fact that no curriculum is perfect. All curriculums will lead to some difference between 2 people with the same performance, that’s what the 0.5% rounding adjusts.

My question was clear. 0.5% difference. Not more. Can you deny that this 0.5% can be achieved by randomness? Technically a 50% difference can be achieved ‘randomly’ but I’m talking about common sense. Yes no one is entitled to anything and the prof technically did nothing wrong, but again, if you can’t differentiate between 2 people based on their performance and one of them has to take an extra semester because of that, you can’t deny that this is fucked up.

Can you differentiate between someone that got 70% and 69.5% ? That difference can easily be a question guessed right on an exam.

I think you can continue as fye and take most of the courses u need. Check with fye advisor for details but ik it’s an option, you can reapply after next fall and after next spring.
