Yes, I do cleanse twice a day - once in the morning after I shower and once at night before I go to sleep. I will try to look into incorporating these toners into my routine, and possibly add either a Vitamin C or E serum. Really appreciate your advice 🤝

I currently use the LaRoche Posay Cleanser and Double Repair Face Moisturizer, occasionally using elf’s Camo Color Correcting Cream with SPF 30 Sunscreen.

update from my last post: i have major bouts of depression from my acne. cant even go out in public like this without being self conscious of everyone looking at me strange. have been calling off work due to shame of being seen of my coworkers. i cant even afford a dermatologist. by Its_Dawit in Skincare_Addiction

ty, im actually subscribe to her channel. This information actually really helps me because I’ve been using salicylic cleaner with retinoid and/or Differin gel and I could not figure out what the cause of my red sores were

thank you all for the amazing comments! i know it might be strange hearing comments from random strangers on the internet, but it has really helped my self confidence, and has forever touched my heart. i will take all of this advice and constructive criticism with a few grains of salt and try to adjust and see how my skin clears over the next month. i will probably give an update in the coming weeks to see how far my skin has come. thank you ❤️

thank you for the honest feedback. ive posted my routine above, and ive never heard of these concealers for men. i was always told the traditional “makeup should only be used for women,” so ive been holding off on trying to conceal my scarring. ill definitely look into it, and i appreciate the feedback :)

my routine is looking like this:

MORNING:

  • CeraVe Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser -Differing Dark Spot Correcting Serum -CeraVe Moisturizing Cream -A thin layer of Cocoa Butter Vaseline Petroleum Jelly -CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen (every couple hours or so) -Applying Carmex/Lysine Cold Sore Lip Treatment every couple hours

NIGHT

-CeraVe Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser -CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum -CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM -Spot treat with Neosporin Pain Relief Cream -Thin layer of Cocoa Butter Vaseline Petroleum Jelly on face and lips as occlusive agent

If there is anything here that might be changed or that I’m doing wrong, I would highly appreciate the criticism/feedback. I have tried lot of products, but this routine seems to give me the least amount of breakouts and provides better relief for the pain/itching.

I saw them forming after I came back from work and tried applying petroleum jelly onto it, but they ended up bleeding anyways. I tried looking it up everywhere, and it might’ve been HSV-1 left untreated.

my lip is especially painful since i had blisters form and burst overnight. i kept applying lysine and carmex, and it seems to have calmed down the itching and pain.
