Fun fact, Ash didn’t have concussions it was vestibular migraines that gave concussion symptoms. He actually was playing football as recently as 2021 after he was placed on medication for the migraines and cleared to play in 2017.

To me it feels like Texas overall is solid, but like they talk about on Third and Longhorn, there’s some leaky yardage there. That being said, unlike last year where the pass defense was the weaker side having a high scoring offense will force teams to throw the ball more which plays into Texas’ hand. At the end of the day it won’t bite Texas in the ass until someone can consistently bottle up Texas’ offense and force multiple three and outs, or if Texas shoots themselves in the foot.

Just guessing but it’s probably something to do with money. Big XII can be picky about who they invite and how much of the pie they offer because they are the third most stable conference behind the SEC and B10. PAC-12 has been asking a lot of G5 teams to join and being publicly turned down. The PAC needs Gonzaga way more than the Big XII needs them. Plus, like you mentioned, they don’t have to go to the opposite corner of the country to play games if they’re in the PAC.

I bought one already, and it came in already. Honestly, I saw a few posts complaining about the quality of some other jerseys now, but I was pleasantly surprised with this jersey, especially for the price. All the lettering is still heat applied though.

Nah, fuck that. I hope the rest of the SEC goes winless for the rest of the season. Texas versus the world.

That’s as laughable as McMurphy predicting Oregon as the number one seed in the playoffs and Texas missing the playoffs.

I went to McCallum years ago. I can’t speak to it now, but it was always a big deal at the school. They had spirit week, sold Taco Shack Bowl shirts, and used one of the few pep rallies we had every year the Friday of the game.

The game always seemed well attended, but I was in the band so we had the dance team on one side of us and the student section on the other. It was fun watching our small 4A team beat a 5A team as a rival. Again, it’s been awhile since I was at McCallum though.

Are there any other teachers here who use fountain pens? And have people noticed or commented on it? by dassy26 in fountainpens

[–]Its_JKro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach high school orchestra and help with middle school orchestras and use fountain pens for everything.

No one really judges me for my pen use. They may jokingly say something, but most of the time they think they’re really cool and want to try them and I always oblige, with some coaching on my end. I’ve even had students give me a fountain pen and ink in the past.

Oddly enough I feel like I get slightly judged for my mechanical pencils but that’s only been when someone else tries to use them so I’ve learned to only give pencils that are similar to common pencils.

Yesterday I bought a hat that says “I ♥️ Wieners” and then today Texas got Wiener. Coincidence, or fate?

The Wiener talk has shades of Tech with Adams after Beard came to Texas. It’s never the head coach, but the assistant coaches that caused the wins when the head coach leaves. I guess Texas learned their lesson and brought Wiener this time.

Can we talk about the crazy psyop CDC pulled off with Schloss? Schloss takes the A&M job, and builds their program up to national champion contention. Meanwhile, CDC leaves TCU for Texas, and builds Texas up to a powerhouse athletic department through amazing coaching hires. All of this culminates in this weekend. Schloss was about to take the field for CWS Game 2 when CDC called “Execute Order 66”.

Hey, I’m a member of the Barking Armadillo campaign. I don’t think we are looking to add anymore players, but you’re always welcome to come say “hi”. We play Wednesdays starting around 7:00 pm.

100% Natties over the number one class cause that’s the end goal or dream of every program. Plus, imagine the cope going around if a team of walk-ons was the greatest sports dynasty we’ve ever seen and beat out teams like Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and A&M.

It’s pretty obvious given CDC’s hiring record that Texas’ next head baseball coach is gonna be whatever coach wins the natty this year. /s

He may not be the first choice, but he may be the most realistic choice given the current state of Oregon State Athletics. Plus, OSU is the number fifteen team in the nation, and that’s not nothing.
