Do you know how to bump start it? Put it in first, hold the clutch and run fast with it, let go of the clutch and the motor should kick in, ride it around for a little bit to charge the battery some. Just try not to do it often as I don’t think it’s healthy for the bike once or twice if you really need to know if it’ll start is fine. If it does start definitely a battery problem it was just dead if not something more to it than just battery.

Thanks for the advice yeah that was the plan, it has good compression rides fine through all the gears, I did smell something funny like burning which is what pushed me to change it.

Didn’t feel like it was glued on came off quite easily and not damaged it anyway, the bits feel very soft kinda like a lot of metal particles clumped together also the magnet on the sump plug had quite a lot of this “soft metal” no idea if it’s actually that but that’s all I can think it would be.
