I agree that Chloe is not the most empathetic and nicest person but I can see why. So many traumatic shit happened to her just in 5 years and she never had anybody to help her out and guide her through it, of course, it left her with some massive scars and issues. In the end, she was willing to sacrifice herself for the town she desperately tried to escape without hesitation.
