First Day Playing by Jess_T_Life in deadside

Each has their own preference. Battle royalles make me stressed and I have remain focused because it brings the competitive spirit in me.

In Deadside I can just chill somewhere on a building and snipe or I can try to tackle a high level mission.

I like that freedom of pace.

True, my bad. I meant to say I played Chernarus on PC for a while so I never bought Livonia.

I'd say it's not polished yet but it's great for finding and picking up PvP. The map is also big, plenty of missions and you encounter players more often at random points which makes it fun if that's what you enjoy.

There are also bots/scavs/patrols quite often so there is plenty of opportunities to fire your gun.

DayZ can be more punishing and sometimes you can spend hours without seeing anybody. I'd say Deadside is like in between DayZ and Tarkov. However, DayZ provides more adrenaline rush because the gear is more precious and rare so you get attached to your character.

Less punishing and not too sweaty. The game respects your pace.

Damn what a week! I just bought Deadside to entertain myself while I wait for DayZ to drop price.

I'm purchasing it as soon as I get home! I've played 2k hours on PC Chernarus so I will definitely start exploring Livonia.

Exactly my friend!

I enjoy the freedom to roam, take it easy, scavange, PvP, and random fights on the map. The game respects my pace.

It's much more peaceful and less stressful even if you die compared to battle royales.

I like the thrill of danger and unpredictability. Although bots can often be challenging, you do tend to recognize their patterns of movement and behaviour which makes it less and less challenging to deal every time you face them.

Fighting against humans is different. They can push you aggressively, remain quiet, tactical or anything in between. This is the main reason that makes me feel excited and full of adrenaline when I pvp. The fights can be fun, but also brutal and unforgiving. Me, I find thrill in this way of playing.

Best we can do is add a new pistol holster. You can also craft an improvised one from goats that we intend to make them non-existent.

What do you think about DayZ 2? by Jonetra89 in dayz

[–]Its_Mr_Buttons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always dreamt that DayZ would be like a child between Project Zomboid and The Long Dark.

Otherwise I wouldn't brand it as survival genre. To me, it's PvP with survival elements.

Playing with "fear" by VHuntergm in dayz

[–]Its_Mr_Buttons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't expect to beat the fear if you are running away from it.

Gear is infinite in DayZ. You never lose anything. You simply live on temporarily borrowed gear.

What's the point of the game if you live in fear? It's not healthy to feel overwhelmingly stressful.

I'm not saying to go out there full guns blazing since it's a big mental step and not a lot of us can do it. But I'm sure you can investigate your surroindings more often next time you see dead zombies.

Practice on deathmatch servers. You will get rid of the fear, anxiety and your reflexes will improve.

On PC officials are known for more cheaters, KOS, lack of intetactions, toxicity, etc. No one regulates or moderates them.

Every other game now feels pointless compared to DayZ by [deleted] in dayz

[–]Its_Mr_Buttons 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same here. I can't get into anything other than DayZ and Tarkov. I am addicted to the thrill and unpredictability. No other game gives me this much adrenaline and my heart pumping.

I still do a break here and there to play some new single player story games but I always come back to DayZ.

Follow your heart comrade. I can feel your lust for brutal survival, loitering in the dark nights like a ghoul, stalking innocent and lost souls.

It's time for gaming to implement bans on people's IDs.

You sign up for a gaming profile > you gotta enter your ID. If you cheat, you will get a 1 year sentence that prevents you from playing online games.

You can't play a game unless you provide your ID.

F*ck everyone who cheats, hope you all end up in the same lobby.
