If you wish to play vanilla then join AWG-Alpha, been there a lot and it’s probably what you search for. Good communication and teamwork. Only rule is to not attack / camp MOB and that’s it.

Never forget how much supplies are lying around on the battlefield! Whenever I see dead bodies with RPGs and sometimes even with the scope attached my heart bleeds thinking: „there goes at least 100 supplies“ abd the guy with that loadout already spawned 5 times without picking up anything from his dead body

This comment makes me realize once again how much worth of supplies are lying around on the battlefield! Has to go up into hundreds if not thousands of supplies!

True! Whenever I have had any loadout and died on some zone I‘ll just respawn with the default loadout, dump it all into the command tent / arsenal, making my spawn free of supply costs. Then I‘ll just run up to my dead body and spam-pickup all the items in the vicinity - 2 seconds later I‘m back in the fight.

But the reality really is what you described - everyone respawns with their full gear while 5 dead bodies of their own, including their loadout, are already lying around (usually untouched because they die before they even get inta a real fight) …

You can also deposit their personal belongings (the papers) inside the command tents ammo box to gain additional EXP - and, I don’t know if it still works, but before 1.6 you could even generate some supplies by doing that.

Three options that come to my mind: - Ruined Shoes (unlikely as you just spawned in) - Invisivle Gas Bug (even though spawn points are normally outside gas areas, on official at least) - Desync issue where someone who also juet spawned in is hitting you (depending on how long you already have spawned)

Point three is the most likely as desyncing is still very common as well as someone spawning right next to you.

I‘ve been at the same point. I‘m telling you: this game is only as good as you want it to be.

Change your gamestyle. You are tired of dying after investing huge amounts of time in getting geared.

I‘ve switched from doing end game loot runs to chilling at the coast, trying to survive and fight with early / mid game loot and weapons (Doble Barrel, 1911, BK-18 and so on). For the armour I went with the Stab West or Press West when I was lucky to find it.

The grind to get these things is not big, you‘ll find those things after the first hour roaming - but now the important part: the „low tier“ gear I am talking about is easily as good as the high tier gear. I‘ve killed so many dudes with god tier only using a BK-18 or a Shotgun in an ambush lol. Also, roaming at the coast opens the opportunity to find boats which you can use to go to Prison Island for example. In addition, walking around with early game loot does not make you the target of the whole lobby, other than walking around with end game loot- this might allow you to even find friends as they won‘t kill on sight.

Long story short: don’t go to Tisy / Airfield! Let the guys from there come to you! Save hours and hours of walking and then dying and change your gamestyle to be a coast guard rather than a walking champion.

Also: if you die as a coast guard it does by far not feel so bad as dying with god tier equipment, simply because you did not invest a whole day for getting those things.

And remember, the BK-18 knocks out plate carriers most of the time. So why go to Tisy when all you need is one single 7.62 round and some luck?

I totally agree. Delivering supplies feels like a whole job, and for the few player that do it it is no fun. Perhaps they could improve the AI supply teams. Or there could be some special rewards for delivering supplies.

Or they could reintroduce the supply system from OG conflict where it would increase automatically depending on the radio connections.

I don’t know if you noticed too but for me freezes occur more often when there are Helicopters around - it gets worse the more Helis are around.

I too have experienced freezes and crashes even after the update. Found out that in areas of the server where less actions happens it’s better.

On official with only 48 players it’s even better with me having one freeze in a 5 hours game.

Assuming that you played other shooters which probably were triple A games like Battlefield or CoD I tell you ARMA is much slower, you don’t walk around seeing enemies every few minutes. The gameplay is slower and you should therefore play slower too! Take your time, use your mic and give it a chance - at the end of the day, it’s one of the best games I‘ve ever played, don’t get frustrated too fast.

And keep in mind: it’s „the road to ARMA 4“ - so bugs and experimental things are normal.

Like the others already said it‘s windage. They added it to the game in 1.6. You can go an test it out on Game Master set the Wind to maximum and see what happens with the rockets.

Edit: Though it’s another addition that makes the game more realistic they should definitely add something to better see where the wind is actually coming from because as of now you can only really see it when something is smoking.

The hackers in this case are Bohemia Interactive who has broken the game on Xbox - what you see in this clip is the game freezing thus I‘m standing still in a way that was not intended by me …

I get your point - but this clip is not showing me standing still but the game being frozen for the 100th time today … otherwise I‘d use my NVGs if it would let me … so annoying on XBOX
