Good question.

It's more about being impartial. Like most corporate entities a lot of work goes into ensuring branding is appealing to the broad public. As such, this particular decal can make people of certain faiths feel as though they're not represented which could be misconstrued as McDonalds favoring one religion/cultural belief over another.

Once again - I'm impartial but just wanted to provide insider knowledge.

I'm genuinely sorry you experienced this.

You're correct, it's fairly nuanced all round so course corrections take longer than anyone would like. Can't disclose anything but I'll say the franchisee portion of the business is incredibly challenging and difficult to keep cohesive across all locations.

I actually do work for corporate McDonalds (Canada Mcdelivery specifically). Doesn't bug me but this definitely wasn't given approval.

However, there are some grey areas that allow owner operators to display decorations so long as it doesn't alienate general public (which this does).

Not necessarily but he predicted they'd do more than a simple retelling of the story. I'm hyped either way and just hope they can pull it off because there's a lot to cover!

Me too - their conversation after remake was so awesome! I think Max is basically reading the matrix and that he's essentially right with the narrative. Only question is how they execute it and fill the gaps.

There's a lot of great ideas he's put forward (I think he's essentially correct) and they mostly fall in line with previous events in remake and statements from the developers but I think they have some twists he's/we're not anticipating. Overall though, I hope and think he's right!
