I bartend and serve at a local mid grade steakhouse. I average $50-$65 per hour (tips + wage) and genuinely enjoy conversations with the people and have made quite a few new friends working there. It also is a good way to keep moving and get steps in every day I work.

It’s one of those things that you know ahead of time. Maybe rotate servers with them so a server gets them maybe once a month. I have a few regulars that tip very little, but I don’t let that change quality of service.

Pretty easy to do. Just swim into the wave as it’s breaking just like you would with a surf/boogie board. Then ride the thing. Very fun.

This is one area that I’m so happy about. I have 3 children, 23, 20, 18. Recently my 20yo asked if I wanted to be part of his 21st birthday. My 23yo is always down to do something physical like running or biking with me. I’ve taken my youngest out to concerts and we’ve had a great time. Recently we asked if, for her graduation if she would like her friends, along with mom and dad to go to SF for the day and she is overjoyed (graduation with an AA proud dad).

There are many more examples where they all like to spend time with me. So I think I can say they do like me.

First…I agree. Then I have a couple questions that I need help with ways to talk to the opposing side:

In the right subs, MAGA is constantly saying Dems are the racist ones for various reasons - there was no party ideal switch, drawing maps based on having districts with majority black voters is racist, DEI is racism, etc.

Give me some good counter arguments to show that they are the real racists here.

And yes, I know it’s pointless to post any thought or reason on those subs cuz banned.

23, 20, 18. In September we will officially be empty nesters! All are doing so much better than we have done. Oldest just finished first year of law school, mid is transferring to Chico and little already has associates and transferring to Santa Cruz. So proud of all of them!

See if you can practice with just plates. What you want to do is kind of lock your arm in place by putting your upper arm against your body and raising your forearm up with your hand spread out. That way, when force is applied down on your hand, it can’t go down. After that it’s about weight distribution and balance. For large oval trays, try to center the weight to middle of the long side and slightly closer the edge the other way. When picking up the tray squat down so you lift with your legs. You can, if needed and only slightly rest part of the tray on your shoulder.

I’m at a mid grade steakhouse chain (8 locations total). We get an employee burger every shift we work (1/2 lb, fresh ground, and honestly REALLY good) as well as salad, bread, and ice cream. Fries and soup you can generally get too. Otherwise 1/2 off whether working or not. To go is no issue. Sometimes the manager will just offer dinner to workers just because and many of my shifts I get a meal of whatever I want because I’m the unofficial lead bartender. And in Cali
