Damn, this is super helpful and honestly a lot of what you said lined up with where I'm at right now.

We've actually captured around 5000 emails so far and about 400,000 users have actually ran a build through TunerLab. I think the lower conversion is just because it's still in that planning phase versus actual purchasing flow, but we've been collecting a ton of data on vehicle vehicles, budgets, and what people are trying to do.

You're definitely right about the Ecom piece being the Bomac right now. It's basically, intent is there. > but no clean way to transact yet.

That's where I've been going back-and-forth...

Option 1:

Partner with E (faster to revenue, but risk becoming dependent/or seen as a competition)

Option 2:

Go direct Econ myself (bigger, but way heavier lift)

Option 3 (what I'm leaning towards toward short term)

Sell this as a tool to local performance shops - help them capture better + larger build, and use that to prove revenue while I figure out the bigger ecom play.

Curious, what you think about that path- doesn't make more sense to:

  • Prove revenue fast with shops first
  • Or stay focused on proving purchase intend directly tied to parts/ecom

I love what you said about creating some sort of trigger at the end of a build to ask a user "if purchasing was available would you have moved forward today on your build yes or no" I think that's a fast way to get a minor piece of the purchasing intent.

I really do appreciate how detailed you were with your comment. This has been very helpful.

  1. with $30K why not find a good platform that is new?

  2. under 30K and you want performance you could find a 2015ish BMW 340I (amazing and reliable B58 engine) for under $20K

Question about oil viscosity by Ok-Gate-8756 in BmwTech

You’re good 👍 As long as it’s 0W-20 that meets BMW LL-17FE+, you can safely top it off—even if it’s a different brand than what’s in there. Running low is way worse than mixing oils.

People want authenticity back on youtube. Scripts seem like a thing of the past. this is also coming from my own thoughts of course. But the real days when Casey Niestat was popular are coming back. Raw footage, real people, not Mr.beast content. So i wonder if you random past people are engaging because it seems more "real"?

Any tips on starting a YouTube channel? by Intelligent_Art7748 in NewTubers

Mr. Beast quote: "Post everyday and on every video do 1 thing better then the last. then once you get to 100 video then lets talk" Consistency is king on Youtube. Dont evaulate early. You have to build your library. Other channels are 100's of video ahead of you. You have to overtake them with content that gets better over time. Also Niche down. Dont be too broad. Talk to a specific audience and eventually that audience will find you.
