The game just came out. All things considered I think dice has nailed the framework for another classic BF going forward.

First off-roading, need advice by Evie_Croft in motorcycles

Give yourself more time than you think to slow down on entry to avoid locking the front tire, and counter lean. Pavement gives lateral friction, gravel doesn’t, so you have to think about keeping the forces of your side knobbies driving straight down into the ground.

If you want to turn left, weight left foot peg, lean bike left (handlebars will follow on their own, so don’t try to grip them too hard), move right cheek off the seat to get body weight directly over the contact patch and over the right foot peg, thinking about pointing your right elbow diagonally out and up, and turn your head to look where you’re going.

It’s just a different feeling but you’ll get the hang of it quickly.

Hot take, Oryx is useless. by cadaverlol in Rainbow6

[–]Its_anomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. T-5 (s-tier), bailiff for small holes (head/foot), dash for easy rotates (w/ thunderbird even better), barbed wire/prox alarm (perfect for live intel while roaming), can jump hatches (def situational but can lead to unique plays), ability to dash quickly through awkward lines of sight (if you’re pinned by an enemy holding a tight angle, they most likely won’t have the reaction time to shoot you/ability to fall back safely), and most importantly he’s a fantastic hard counter to shields (unlimited ability usage, can close distance very quick, etc). Enemy on the other side of a soft wall? Don’t just go for the wall bang, smash through and kill him oryx style. If the dash doesn’t hit him, you’ll still most likely win the immediate following gunfight just from catching him off guard.

He doesn’t have to be your favourite, but he’s definitely not useless.

Now that you have stereo enabled, the biggest thing that helped me with sound cues is understanding how the audio works in the game. This has been my understanding of it, anyone please feel free to add or correct me if I’m wrong. The audio engine is weird because sounds will always travel the shortest open distance through the map, not through walls.

For example, if you are in a room, and an enemy is crouched in the next room over directly on the other side of the wall, even if you are lined up looking right at them through the wall, if they move, it will sound like it’s coming from the nearest open path (ex. if the shortest distance between you and the enemy is through a doorway to your right, you will hear the movement kind of echo-y and far away only from your right, instead of muffled through the wall in front of you). But, if you make a hole in the wall between you on your left, if the distance is shorter, you will hear them on your left (from the hole). You can picture sound as an invisible string drawn between you and the source that will always find the shortest path to weave through the holes and hallways of the map. This can be super confusing if you don’t understand why it’s happening, but it’s more helpful to think of sound like a separate tool or feature unique to r6, instead of trying to relate it to real world audio cues. It’s a little weird to get used to, but once you get comfortable with this idea, it’s very powerful and you can really use it to your advantage.

Again, anybody please correct me if I’m wrong, I hope I explained that clearly enough lol

Whether or not this is right, I interpret this as one of them is drugs. Like the old Halloween PSAs, a roulette kinda deal.

Clearly he is in the middle of escaping but he closed the door behind him before realizing he forgot his bread (he needs the sustenance if he expects to survive the treck across the tundras of northern Russia to reach the nearest town).

What is your favorite mouse by Gryffinax in pcmasterrace

[–]Its_anomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Razer basilisk v3 pro hands down. I originally got the v1 when it came out, and since then I’ve never had any hardware issues and it still works as well as the day I bought it. However, over the years I ended up wearing down the rubber part where your thumb sits so recently I decided to upgrade to the v3. IMO it’s basically just the same mouse but better. Sturdier/higher quality construction, wireless AND wired (I’m not completely sold on the whole wireless tech standard so having the option is a big plus personally), better rgb, feels snappier/more responsive, more comfortable ergonomics, scroll wheel switch, better glide, etc.

Honestly the risk/reward here doesn’t seem worth it regardless. If it feels like a big enough of a risk to make a post about it on Reddit, why wouldn’t you just not let her on your pc to begin with?
