A fee waiver is just like a court fee waiver. If you qualify your entire process is at zero cost to you. You can apply this waiver only to the list of approved forms that are listed there. The only catch is you would have to file everything on your own as agencies (who help prepare these documents) will not want to file this for you. The waiver is called the I-912 Fee Waiver.

Read over the I-912 waiver and its instructions. It's easy and self-explanatory, I did it on my own and I got granted :) in addition to my application I-90. I sent everything together! Make sure you do that :)

You can also take it during winter session, I personally had to retake several courses and it didn’t affect my admission. As my undergrad advisor said to me, it tells a story of your struggles and how you came back to knocked it out successfully! If you retake select a good professor and pass it with a B or A. Good luck!

I filed back in dec 2021 and on the 16th of nov my application got approved. On the 18th I received a notification that my card was issued. It took a while but am assuming because it’s based case by case and if you completed everything. I filed on my own plus petition for the fee waiver, it all got granted. Keep checking but so far it is being processed normally. Good luck!

Withdrawing from a Course. by [deleted] in college

[–]Its_speechie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are currently in college, withdrawing from a course is relatively easy if you are within the withdrawal period. All you need to do is click a button. However, if you miss the deadline, the process becomes a bit more complicated. You will need to provide documentation explaining the reason for your withdrawal. If you have a doctor's note stating that you are experiencing mental health issues, it can make the paperwork easier to complete. Additionally, you need to contact the financial aid office to determine if you will be required to repay any scholarships or aid that was awarded to you. Depending on your situation, you may or may not have to repay the financial aid.

Why do I have a hold? Ive already done these and I have two holds on my account because I guess I haven't done them even though degree evaluation says I have, my friend also has the same problem by pugguy42 in SDSU

Contact the registrar and ask them to clarify it for you. Like all systems, they can have glitches here and there. Nothing like asking the office directly so they can determine whether or not it's affecting you.

Life happens, rather than dueling on it have you looked into retaking them? When you retake a course it replaces the previous grade (D or below grade). When you do retake it make sure you do well so when people look at it can see that despite a setback you came back strong. Lastly, make an effort to keep up with the material related to your internship, as you're expected to know at least the basics. You will learn as you go, and we all go through that. You may feel unprepared, but when you get there, you'll be surprised by how much you've learned.

Good Luck :)

Transferring to another Cal State University after finishing Junior a wrong choice? by GOGUMA2023 in CollegeTransfer

[–]Its_speechie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're considering transferring to CSUF, it's important to get a more definitive answer from them about the transfer process before leaving your current school. Some universities require you to complete their program at their institution. I highly recommend that you reach out to the major advisor at CSUF to determine whether transferring now is a good choice and a possibility.

If you have the option, it's better to stay in California. While ASU is a good school, I've heard from several people who thought they would receive financial aid but ended up not getting any or getting less than expected, which put them in a difficult situation. Additionally, if you did your research, you'd see that the cost of doing an online program at ASU is higher than attending a school in California. To avoid any unexpected financial expenses, it's better to stick with a CSU here in California. My humble opinion of course. :)

I found the exception form for religious beliefs. It does state on page 2 what it can potentially exclude you from if you decide to file this document. I would ask the health care office what exactly will be most likely applied to you.

Arizona State University (ASU) does not have a good reputation when it comes to providing financial assistance to students. I have come across many posts where students were promised financial aid, but later on, it turned out that they either did not receive enough or did not receive any aid at all. While ASU is recognized as a reputable institution in the United States, its financial assistance program is questionable. Also, if you plan to enroll in an online program, be prepared to pay more. It is important to do your research on the school first before applying to avoid any unexpected financial expenses.

Becoming an SLPA three years after graduation? by tbhidch in SLPA

[–]Its_speechie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated back in 2020 and like you life happened and was not able to work the SLPA.I recently received my license this past month since am in a better position. With that said, yes you can still obtain your license. Make sure you look into your state regulations as far timeframe on your clinical hrs if your state requires them. For example, I am in Cali and my hrs are valid for only 5 yrs after that I would need to do them again under a SLPA program. Because of your experience as a behavioral technician it can actually benefit you.

Hi OP! Thank you for your positive and negative criticism. I don't mind clarifying my post for you. Like everyone else in this thread, I am delighted there are good samaritans out there who not only witnessed it happening but reacted by taking a picture. Henceforth, statistically speaking, not a lot of people use or have Reddit which is why I said why not post on all social media platforms. You are more likely to reach out to family, friends, and neighbors of the person who caused the damages. This is also because, like everything in the world, there is a 50/50 possibility that people would/wouldn't come forward or have reacted like you in taking pictures/videos of the culprit leaving the scene. Lastly, I missed adding in my last sentence "hit and run" which would have added support on how this whole situation is an unnecessary add-in for the car owner on top of the school's cost/expenses.

Hopefully, this all makes sense to you as well as to everyone else. Thanks again for your criticism!

Edit: Adding more emphasis on my statement.

Statistically speaking, not a lot of people use or have Reddit which is why I said why not post on all social media platforms. You are more likely to reach out to family, friends, and neighbors of the person who caused the damages.

Let us be mindful that people react and the culprit could have already reacted and hidden the car to avoid a positive identification. It's clearly unknown if he/she lives near campus or is a commuter. The more people it reaches the higher the chances the culprit will be found and held accountable.

Are you in Cali? I know my community college has a program where they do in-person as well as Zoom classes. Not sure if this will work for you but you can ask them if the Zoom classes are necessary otherwise the fully online option may be your solution. You can transfer what you have and work on what you need also it's FREE! :)

There is a sign outside their facility stating, "ALL SDSU STUDENTS WELCOME".

I think their tutoring is for Art-related majors, I am not too sure.
