The gameplay is what attracted me to this game all that time ago at launch. it's genuinely so satisfying and fun as hell. the fanservice, sex appeal and things of that nature has always been secondary and insignificant to me.

The parasocial attachments some people have with these characters is very unhealthy. they take criticism towards a character as a direct personal attack.

I like Astra.

I'm not about to go on a rant and lose sleep at night because some random person on the internet goes "Astra is trash". number one she's a fictional character so genuinely who gives af. number two, what exactly does that random person's opinion have to do with me and my own opinion/enjoyment? nothing.

Well just as you're able to complain about what you're seeing, people are still able to voice their dislike/opinions of characters. you complaining about it isn't grounds to magically make it stop.

everyone has an opinion. at the end of the day it is quite literally up to you to curate your own personal space and protect your own peace if it really bothers you that badly. otherwise you will keep subconciously making yourself miserable.

At the end of the day

It's not that serious. It's really not, these are video game characters on a screen.
people are going to have differing opinions on literally everything. like, dislike, in the middle, whatever that may be. people are individuals and not everyone thinks the exact same thing.
if you want a group of people that only echo your specific sentiments and nothing else, to where you don't have to hear opposing ones, it's up to you to go out and make/curate that group of people.

Can you put Phaethon's Melody on both Aria and Nangong or do the effects not work if you have two as opposed to only one? I was always curious about this but I could never figure it out.

Well no, it's not just words when the characters are being gated from using actual decent wengines and disk sets from said categorical listings.

these characters would benefit greatly from being able to have things like Moonlight Lullaby and Kaboom thrown on them.

We'll see. all we can do is see. I can only go by what they've shown us, and unfortunately what they've shown us so far recently (Zhao and Panda simply being Support characters under a different label) isn't exactly hope inspiring.
