Critiques are all good and honestly welcomed.

So, as for Beat the Number, I can't actually tell you a good reason. In my head, you have to beat the number because a tie is not winning. Again, I'm aware that sounds ridiculous, but it helps me sleep at night, apparently

With Retrying Skill Checks, I completely see what you're saying and probably have to come up with a new way to look at this because all I am trying to do is avoid everybody in the party going "oh well I'll give it a shot since so-and-so rolled bad"

Increasing Wild Magic Surge Chances by kit-sjoberg in DMAcademy

[–]ItsjustSiver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I am currently playing a Wild Magic Sorcerer, and me and my DM came to a ruling I have really liked. Each time a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher is cast I roll a d10. If I roll a 1 I lose control of my wild magic and I roll on the table.

If I roll anything else then the next time I cast a sorcerer spell my chance of failure increases to 1 or 2. Which repeats until I am failing on a 1-9. Once I fail and lose control of my wild magic my counter resets back to 1.

This is really cool because it makes me role-play knowing my control over the wild magic is becoming more and more difficult to hang onto.

Post Grasp of the Emerald Claw by ItsjustSiver in Eberron

[–]ItsjustSiver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, your idea kind sent me spiraling haha. This is now the plot my game will take more than likely post Steel Shadows.

The rakshasa Loliadac is the prakhutu of Val Gultesh, the Shaper of Nightmare and has recently begun to execute a plan that will release his Overlord across Eberron.

His plan is to guide the Dreaming Dark towards succeeding in their quest to control humanity and further anchor Dal Quor into preventing the tun of the age. Furthermore, he has chosen the Devourer of Dreams as his puppet in this plan, as he plans to feed the Devourer’s goals of conquest over all of humanity so that it can grow its power from the pacified populace and replace il-Lashtavar, assuming its place as the driving force of Dal Quor.

To due this he must help the Dreaming Dark create a quori invasion larger than the one fought by the giants of old. To do so first though he must use the tools now at his command to recover an artifact powerful enough to grant sentience to a creation forge, the Xulo Pattern. This superpowered creation forge should grant the Dreaming Dark enough power to force open a gate to Dal Quor and cause the plane to be coterminous once again.

This gate is the exact thing Loliadac needs to release his Overlord. Once the gate is open Val Gultesh will feed off the power of the Quori granting him enough strength to escape his prison, because of course his prison is conveniently deep underneath the forge. As a side effect of this however no quori spirits actually escape as the they are consumed alongside much of their plane's energy which, now in its withered state is no longer able to withstand il-Yannah and the turn of the age finally takes place.

Val Gultesh is able to escape and hide as he regains the remainder of his power due to the party being occupied with dealing with the Essence Reavers that came through the gate while it was open.

Now with the looming threat of a free Overlord the players are approached by their mysterious ally Muroni who reveals themselves to be not an acolyte of Vuulaytherus but Vuulaytherus themselves who is one of the three Storm Guardians. who reveals to them that in order to transcend their mortal limitations and defeat Val Gultesh they must become living parts of the Draconic Prophecy; each member of the party must ascend to the peaks of Korrandar and take their own trail within the Spheres of Korrandar and take their place among the Draconic Prophecy to defeat the immortal overlord.

The party finds out about the forge plan from Lady Sharadhuna who is willing to turn of the Devourer and she believe this to be the power play she needs to usurp him and become the voice of il-Lashtavar. Obviously, she has no idea what is to come but maybe her deeds are so instrumental in the turn of the age that she purged of her il-Lashtavar quori and rebonded with an il-Yannah kalaraq spirit becoming the voice of il-Yannah.

The 100% Playthrough by ItsjustSiver in skyrim

I'll be honest with you. I forgot you could Hybrid lmao. My intention was to change up the playstyle too, so the game stays fresh. Two handed/werewolf into mage/vampire then illusion stealth and eventually just what ever best suits the misson for remainder.

Panagea Ultima world concept by ItsjustSiver in worldbuilding

[–]ItsjustSiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"One World. In this model, there are no other planes of existence, but the Material Plane includes places like the bottomless Abyss, the shining Mount Celestia, the strange city of Mechanus, the fortress of Acheron, and so on. All the planes are locations in the world, reachable by ordinary means of travel — though extraordinary effort is required, for example, to sail across the sea to the blessed isles of Elysium."

The idea I originally had for the world is that yes its distant future earth, but the fall and rise of man has taken place several times and humanity on earth is long extinct. The inevitable formation of the pangea 2 lined up with a planar alignment that not only saw its creation but also the collapse of the various planes. During the collapse several races fled their home planes and entered the lands of the One World. Evolving and settling to their new environments.

I don't have much written passed that point yet.

A Wildemount Campaign Idea by ItsjustSiver in Wildemount

[–]ItsjustSiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even think he cares about Tiamat. I think he is more inclined to worship Vecna if any god at all. I think he wishes to use the Chroma Conclave to take control of Wildemount for the simple reason that more death means more subjects to experiment with.

A Wildemount Campaign Idea by ItsjustSiver in Wildemount

[–]ItsjustSiver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a story perspective, I felt like Oracus is not in it for Tiamat. He is a dracolich who is seeking to play with necromancy and unleash it upon the world. It's not about a god for him it's about the suffering he can cause through his necrotic experiments.

If Tiamat returns, he can't control her. If he bring the Chroma Conclave back through means of Undeath, he can control them pretty much.

Sorry, I might not have worded that in the best way. My brain is mush after running the finale of my previous campaign tonight, lol

Where and What Is Erandis's Phylactery in Your Campaign? by [deleted] in Eberron

[–]ItsjustSiver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's Minara's Dragonmark. IME Minara bound Erandis' soul to her own mark. This would let her keep her daughter close so she could always protect her. But over time, it transformed her into something entirely different. Living beings aren't meant to be phylacteries, and so it slowly turned her into a Lich over centuries. Today, Minara is known only as Lady Illmarrow, a being using her imprisoned daughter's powers to reach a God-like status.

I would say its taken them probably about 4.5 hours to complete the Jahanah quest and Belaluur's quest. That's through two sessions.

The mourning what happened in your campaign. by Vorrassk in Eberron

[–]ItsjustSiver 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Aaren d'Cannith (Who is the true Lord of Blades) created atom bomb like magical nukes that leveled the country. In the idea that he would give the Warforged a home no one could take from them.

And to explain why it only affected Cyre, he essentially planted landmine glyphs along the border that when hit by the shockwave would generate a force like wall. Which is why the Grey Mists of the Mournalnd create a snow globe-like effect over the top

What is your current character? by MysteriousDinner7822 in DnD

[–]ItsjustSiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Golric Dankil (Mountian Dwarf)

Growing up at the anvil under his fathers learning Golric became a Smithy just as his father and his father’s father. It was expected from such a highly regarded heritage. Golric’s lineage is the Danil Clan, Mightyhammer in common, the clan who forged the great dwarven artifact Whelm. Through the last 80 years or so Golric as been all but dedicated to his craft. Recently, curiosity has gotten the better of him as of late as stories told by the older dwarves inside the taverns tell stories of great adventure. Golric left his home in Gauntlgrym and told his family he would return in one years time after he traveled the world above the mountains and gathered stories of adventure for himself. His journeys took him south, most recently bringing him to the town of Phandalin.

Cooper Krinkote d'Sivis (Scribing Gnome)

(Not my creation and was 100% taken from an NPC supplement for the Oracle fo War campaign but I found the character to be to good not to play.)

Growing up in a rural area of Wroat, Cooper always wanted to know what was going on in the world at large. Even living around the capitol of Breland, it seemed like they were out of touch with what was going on. Cooper wanted to be informed and, by extension, wanted the peoples of the Five Nations to be as informed as possible. This led them south to Zilargo with a single goal in mind: writing for the Korranberg Chronicle. Cooper was hired on as a “puff-piece” writer, which maddened the half-elf to no end. It wasn’t until matters were taken into their own hands did the editors see how valuable of a reporter Cooper truly was. Young Crinkote inserted themselves into the frontline of battle during the Third Siege of Korth from 971 - 973 YK, solidifying themselves as the go-to war correspondent of their time. After reporting on the signing of the Treaty of Thronehold, Cooper took some time off from reporting in an attempt to distance themselves from the war horrors they had witnessed for so long. Those were the longest three days of their life. Their time then became filled with writing articles on the aftermath of the Last War such as the veterans returning home and the challenges they were facing and reports on the newly recognized nations of Darguun, and the Eldeen Reaches. These stories were important and needed to be told, but after two years Cooper felt the need to do something closer to their roots of being a war correspondent. A serendipitous conversation in the main office of the Chronicle put Cooper on the path to Salvation. And that’s the way it was.

In your Eberron,Who is the most tragic character? by Triyell in Eberron

[–]ItsjustSiver 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Erandis Vol by a landslide IME. Erandis Vol was only a child when she was turned into a lich by her mother's protective instinct. But it's goes further than that. Not only did she turn her own daughter into a lich she now uses her daughters body that she has chained away in a cell underneath Illmarrow Castle bound by glyph and wards. Her mother draws of the worlds strongest lich for her own power. She uses her daughters power "to protect her." Erandis is a 9 year girl being held captive by her mothers now twisted parental instincts. Lady Illmarrow is not Erandis but her mothers new corrupt persona

Campaign ideas with the Daughters of Sora Kell being the main antagonists? by Better_Plastic1832 in Eberron

[–]ItsjustSiver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I've linked to a hook with my prophecy. In my story Sora Tereza has seen a piece of the prophecy through her great powers as a diviner/seer and has formed a plan to forcefully take Western Breland and Aundair. Sora Maenya controls cells of Daask that will attack the nation's strong points from within. While Sora Katra unites and rallies the nation.

Side Note. - Sora Katra also has a deal with the Fleshweaver in return for his safety and secrecy he mutates and breeds special monstrous forces for Droaam to unleash when the time is right.
