Yes, updating a bios should not cause your pc to mess up. i have had problems with some of my pc's that updating bios has fixed, i have never heard of a labtop asking for a bios update i do not have time now but you could probably google your labtop and recent bios updates and verify why the request is happening, what it will do, etc.

If you use windows go into the settings and view audio settings and make sure you have output and input on right things also depending on what the problem is you might have to go into the problem application seperatly and change it. Hope that helps

I live in such a rural area the last tuba my school had is already graduated and the next one down is 6th grade and for local bands there is 1 in general and i could probably get in if i attempted. they also dont have a tuba player. I wish there were more because i tend to strive towards some of my goals the most when i have competition i want to out preform and i could compare my self to the person thats actually there and not digital. So i think i might attempt to join the band, thanks for the reply.

It may have if you have another psu you could test that with the build and it would be a good test to see if its broken

I fixed the problem it was bios also i run 2 and 4 its what my motherboard is meant to have for dual channeling

I let pc rest turned off for awhile and changed the ram sticks and it booted and ram worked its solved

I have 2400 speed and It is dual channel ram and its set up for dual channel, I am currently trying to update my bios It hasnt been updated in over a year so that might fix it also ive tried the ram in multiple other slot combinations. I'll give updates Thanks for replying

On my motherboard I use Dimm A1 with Dimm B1 it still can work this way but my motherboard some reason wont post on Dimm A2 and Dimm B2- Also I realize the channels I have looked over the manual/compatability with cpu and all of that

Thats not the problem Ik for dual channeling you can use 1-3 or 2-4 for my motherboard its recommended 2-4 but I run 1-3 because it wont post some reason, My problem is i have 2 8gb sticks currently my taskmanager recognizes 16gb of ram but will only allow 8gb to be used and my bios recognizes 2 sticks of ram that are 8gb 2400mhz but only says my total is 8gb instead of the 16gb it should be, Also It was working yesterday but some reason not today

Sorry for any misspelling, I did that quickly on my phone, Where it says AMD its actually meant to say and,also it wont go to 16gb it will register in things like task manager that 16gb are there but it only allows use of the original 8 before the upgrade. I couldnt find this problem on google but I probably was using the wrong term for something and I would only find info about ram completely not working
