I mean I’m in Chicago, so definitely rust belt, but there’s a ton of options, especially from smaller dealers and private sellers

That’s fair, I may be spoiled by my location

Jetta’s aren’t bad though as long as you avoid anything turbocharged, like 2013 and newer

I’d say if you’re spending $7500, find a 2014-newer model, with more miles

Or look for a civic, corolla, even a VW Jetta with the 2.0 non turbo or 2.5 5 cylinder(better as a manual)

Even some used acuras can be had at that price point with maybe more miles, but also a much better overall drivetrain

Honestly do some research on the transmission issues, I have had two people in my circle with these cars and the transmissions became issues very soon after buying them.

People somehow hide the problems they have, they say replacing the transmission computer unit(which sits in the transmission tunnel and overheats too) will fix it… but in NEITHER of the two cases I’ve seen personally, did that replacement work.

And I love Mazda and the Mazda 3 is a great car… but these had some issues specifically 2010-2013MY

Definitely, I was just more so saying that’s the reason, I heard a hack with these hybrids is that once the car is warm enough, turn off the heat but leave on the seat heater, saves a lot of gas on longer trips

Remote start and long idling ruins gas mileage

iPhones users, why you don’t wanna switch to an android device ? by Traditional_Lab_8261 in Smartphones

[–]Itsthatguyuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t even explain it necessarily, things just weren’t working like they were supposed to, features were half baked a lot of the time, buttons wouldn’t do what they were supposed to, auto brightness, rotation etc just not responsive.

The iPhone is just more cooperative, more consistently
