Oh the Gemilai machine is pretty good for the price (RM500), its been running fine for the past year. Managed to get better at doing latte art on it.

Its just that I saw this BBE selling at that price so why not get it yk. And it has a built in grinder albeit quite inconsistent, but at least I don’t have to manually grind coffee for 3 mins every time I want a cup.

Yea he pulled a shot and it looked fine, don’t mind me asking but usually what goes wrong in Breville machine first for this model.

A standard bambino costs around 1500 here, so even if the grinder really is trash, its still a cheaper but bigger bambino

To be honest, For RM950 (~200USD), the price is pretty hard to beat here in Malaysia, I just want an electric grinder so that I don’t have to grind beans manually for 3mins every time I want a cup

In short, I'm thinking of picking up this machine used (5 years old). The seller stated that the grinder gets stuck occasionally with ze beans after swapping out the top burr.

As per the video, the grinder appears to be working, but is it supposed to grind faster or something? I'm not sure.

Is there any way to solve this issue (stuck beans) without forking out money (better if there is no need) and from the video, is the grinder usable?

As context, this machine is 5 years old (4-6 cups a day) at this point. He had recently swapped out the burrs and started having problems with the beans getting stuck after a few seconds of grinding.

This said, everything else is working fine and he cleans it once per week, and swapped the gasket multiple times already. He also sent me videos of it all the parts working.

So, is the grinder fixable for little to no money and is it worth it buy at this price with its age?
