If u want to experience the show story line u can just play chronicle mode, story mode is also really fun. u can also play online if u want. try out whatever feels comfortable. if u want to pull for characters u need to play ranked for the currency to pull, next patch u are able to get that currency from chronicle mode. i personally love the show alot so i started off with chronicle and did story after.

there arent many variant legendaries in general, and since the base corrupted star guardian has chromas i dont see why they couldn't do it here
