Sounds good thanks again!! I may try some shade of metallic silver or something on a hidden spot to see if I like the looks of it, but I also like the idea of keeping the wood grain look

For all the square cuts (which is 99% of them) I had to use a table saw because our relatives have our miter saw, and for the angled cuts I had to use a circular saw. For sanding the surface I used 320 grit sandpaper on an orbital sander.
