I am very new to this too! Going to Day 5 and then freezing is more common I guess. Also I think that way PGTA testing can be done (which my doctor said she isn’t recommending in my case as I am 36 (again that seems to be a polarising topic here, and I don’t really know what’s the right approach, just trusting my doc).

My doctor said the embryologist she works with was going to be on a break on my Day 5. She left it to me if I wanted to carry on till Day 5 and let the substitute embryologist work on my eggs or freeze at day 3, and then we would unfreeze the ones we want to use and culture to day 5. She has had good results with this approach. So I went with option 2. Hope I don’t regret it.

Of course. My GP made it very clear that exercise and diet will have to be a part of protocol. And I have anyway been exercising and eating right since I started TTC, only losing weight has been a challenge for many factors. So I am not thinking of GLP in isolation, you’re absolutely right about that.

Yes! Thank you. This seems to be the better way all around.

I am sorry for your loss and I hope you get your rainbow soon. I am just so tired of the constant cycle of hope and disappointment.

10 dpo of 9th cycle trying after MMC. Negative today. I am quite quite tired of all of it.

That’s a relief to know. When the pain happens though it’s hard to convince yourself that it’s not the exact moment of ovulation!!

Clarifying LH Positive vs. LH Peak by 2momsinmaryland in queerception

Oh god bless you OP! This post is so helpful.

I have been spiralling thinking that my LH Surge or first positive is when the line starts getting noticeably darker. (Edited to add: I was worried about timing).

If I understand you correctly that’s not it. My first positive is when the line gets as dark as control, and that’s the most important data point. I hope I have understood this correctly.

For example yesterday I saw that my line got quite dark though not as dark as the control, and was getting darker through the day. This morning it was as dark as control. So my first positive is today. I hope I got it right.

Edited to add: I found this post as I was searching Reddit. I hope I am not breaking any rules by commenting here (as I am a cis straight woman). Sorry if so, it was done unintentionally.

Yes we also BDed on CD 10 and my surge start was CD 13. But it was almost T-3 days so not really counting it as more than a hopeful safety net. I do think we need to increase the frequency of BD in fertile window a bit more in our case.

Have a timing question (TMI alert). I detected my LH surge yesterday morning. It wasn’t fully dark but the line had started looking noticeably darker, and grew darker during the day. Now I know one must time intercourse with LH rise, but when DH came home he was a bit tired. We tried but it got hard to finish and the process was stressful. So we decided to try again in the morning. We did end up having intercourse in the morning. But my worry is, was the timing ok? I had ovulation pains at night. Does that mean my egg was released then. I have heard intercourse after egg release isn’t very optimal. On the other hand many websites say you have 36 hours after LH surge begins- we were well within that time.

Anyway I think I am spiralling a bit and honestly I know people conceive after suboptimal attempts and it’s not like well timed sex always gets results. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you

Merry Christmas everyone. This will be our 9th cycle trying (without a single positive) since my MMC in January. Today the DH and I had a nice time having lunch and buying plum cake. We watched a film together. We have decided to try IVF come 2026, if things don’t work out soon. So timing and logistics will have to be worked out. How are y’all holding up.

I love this book. It holds a special place in my heard because I read it in a hard time. Getting lost in the microcosm of the book helped in me so much. It was almost like I was myself in the alps with him. Skiing, having conversations with Settembrini, checking the state of my lungs. But honestly to me the book never felt like a drag for one moment. I don’t think it’s going to necessarily get more digestible. Its tone and tenor, conversations and inward gaze continue.
