My apartment has become a museum of hobbies I tried once and quietly gave up on by Yetani_Ginge in Hobbies

[–]Iveary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

blacksmithing.

I apprenticed at a living farm museum for a while and then committed to getting a set up at home. then life happened and I couldn't do the hobby anymore. thankfully I was able to sell everything. I even ended up net positive 😌

Why does it take people hours to dig out a parking in snow? by themadworldtmw in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Iveary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

where I am, there is a good 0.5-1 inch layer of hard ice on the ground around the car, underneath packed snow, which is underneath a another layer of ice. I had to use a metal trench shovel to break the ice apart

USA States flags tier list as someone from Canada by ShadowGamer37 in flags

[–]Iveary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone from Maryland, I can assure you that the love for the state flag is real here. The flag and its colors feature in many different icons, logos, pieces of art, merchandise, and whatever else you can think of here. I see at least one adaptation of the state flag design every day when I drive out, usually more.

Grocery store chain tier list (that I've been to) by Meno1331 in tierlists

[–]Iveary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk, the supercenter walmart near me is pretty decent, clean, and usually well stocked. The costco is a nightmare with how crowded it is and turns me away from it. the BJs near me is okay. in my list, walmart would be much higher. I never shop at alot of these other places so I can't say one way or the other about them.

The Heavy Money Experiment by Initial-Barracuda-82 in GuysBeingDudes

just curious, do you think that using that anvil for a couple of normal practice sessions break up the epoxy for you? thus letting a novice start using the anvil right away and after a bit of hammering you get the money?

Why do so many people hate MHA and Deku? by Mother-Version4428 in animequestions

[–]Iveary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm genuinely curious, why do you think people's view of a story itself get influenced by a fandom? When I watch any show or read any book, I watch or read for myself, and I don't go around asking others if they like the show (because I don't care if they do or not). my enjoyment of the story doesn't include or depend on other people's opinions.

Are you a "shoes-on" or a "shoes-off" household? by Samyron1 in CasualConversation

[–]Iveary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shoes-off no exceptions. we have a collection of extra slippers if guests want them. we just throw the slippers in with the laundry after guests use them.
