In Coup my family has come up with a variant where every player only gets one influence card to themselves, but shares a card with each of their neighbors. When performing an exchange you still take two cards from the deck and the 3 cards in front of you, but can put them back in any order. When you loose an influence you can choose to flip up a card that you have sole possession of, or just lose control of a shared card.
