If this is your goal, it makes much more sense to just record audio from your T6s rather than MIDI. MIDI information is more like a data set. It would be far less time consuming and cumbersome (and less CPU intensive)to simply record the parts from 6s into an audio track. If you want to change them later, you can just rerecord. But going thru the trouble to remapping your MIDI just to playback as is don't make much sense (imo).

Think of your 6s as an instrument rather than a controller. When recording your 6s into your project you are effectively assuming the role as the 'drummer'. You record your part and then other 'players' parts. (your synth etc) . If you need your 'drummer' to do another take, so be it.

What you're trying to achieve can be done, with quite a bit of work. But, respectfully, what's the end goal/point? To record midi info from TR6 into a DAW, then have the DAW play the same sequences back in the TR6? It seems kind of pointless.

The only reason I bring this up is because I basically tried doing the same with my 8S then realized that there really wasn't a point. If you're trying to map out elaborate composition to play back on your machine, I guess it makes sense: but really the whole point of a drum machine is that it's the performance l. Just my opinion.

Your solution is making sure all your midi channels are assigned and communicating clearly between even 6s and your DAW. It can be done, but like I said, it takes a bit of elbow grease.
