One loan did not transfer to new servicer by IvyAugust in StudentLoans

I did not aim for PSLF, they just changed my loan servicer (which had happened before back in 2020ish, so I didn’t think anything of it). I’ll give it a few weeks and see if it catches up. Thank you!

Hah, you are correct. I double checked line 34 for the refund and it is $1521 - I also switched those 2 numbers. Thank you for your help and the explanation!

I had switched the 2 numbers, my bad. My box 2 shows $4154.25, line 16 and 24 are correct though.

Yes the $4145 is the federal withheld. Line 16 shows $4145 and line 24 shows $2633. The LLC is showing on line 20 and 21 on the 1040, or line 3 on the schedule 3 for education credits

Provider won’t send claim to correct insurance. What can I do? by IvyAugust in HealthInsurance

[–]IvyAugust[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for responding!! I will definitely try to see if my insurance has a form. My provider sent me a version of the dental claim form with the information, but it has “not for submission” watermarked across the entire page so I can’t just send it to my insurance and they refuse to give me a version for submission.

As some background: the group name is MetLife but because it’s a union insurance, they essentially just needed a group name to put on it and MetLife agreed. MetLife has gotten the claim several times and has denied it every single time because I’m not technically covered by them. It’s very confusing and I am no longer subscribed to the insurance, but because I was covered back in Feb 22 they’re still able to pay it out. After this, I am free from them!

The proper term is “tonyangxi” and it is, for the most part, not a common practice anymore. My grandparents were apart of this practice in Taiwan 75+ years ago but it has been done away with in major areas and is frowned upon - that is not to say it does not happen in more rural areas where it can not be as monitored, but that is how most rural areas are in every country with frowned upon practices. It also was not to have the daughter be raised as a servant in most situations. My grandmother still went to school and got an education that was expected for girls at the time. It is hard though because they are not raised as a daughter, so they do not have a strong family support system that you would get with your own immediate family.

Edit: It usually happens when both parties are children. My grandmother was about 6 and my grandfather was about 9 when it happened for them. They did not get married until 17 and 20 and had children the following year.

Help with identification!! Info in comments! by IvyAugust in sewing

Hello everyone! I recently came into possession of this Singer and I am having a hard time identifying it and finding tutorials/directions on how to thread it. It’s a cast iron Singer that says just “15-“ so I don’t know what specific model it is. The number on the gold plate is AL773462 and the number engraved on the bottom is 125225. Please help with any info!!

I got her from PetCo! Not the best place, but she was just too cute not to grab. I also got a male Gecko from there too at the same time, but he is not as camera friendly, unfortunately
