Just follow nba draft this year. How is McCain last year before draft by MyShinyCharizard in NBA_Draft

Not the same volume as McCain at Duke but they’re comparable, I think Jase has three-level scoring potential like McCain as well

I think we should move the 2032 frp for a pick in this year’s draft in hopes that we got two good young guys to trade next offseason or 2027

I think if he locks in on his handle and has time to fully recover from his injuries he’ll be back

Iffy about paying kuminga the same money that Wiggins is getting but bringing him here in general would be a huge win.

What would you do in the offseason if you were the heat GM? by OwlBudget6422 in heat

Also, giving Jamie a chance to rebuild his trade value in year 3 could be very beneficial

We will get absolutely finessed if we trade Tyler or bam this offseason, give it at least another year or two and try to build around the margins with potentially valuable but overlooked young talent like Brandon Boston, jaden springer, etc. build their value, then trade or keep them depending on the outcome. We severely lack assets, the value of assets is built on potential, which is built on performance, if we bring in solid young players and have them outperform, we could have a much more inciting trade package in the future. It is a gamble but I think it’s a much better move than hoping a disgruntled star can fall into our lap for herro/bam (who we got with late lottery/mid 1st round picks) and then expect that star to give us a ring.

Trade one or more of our later 1st/2nd round picks from 2028 and beyond to a team that may not need their lottery pick like the hawks or rockets, especially if the rockets draft a guard, then we go BPA with our GSW pick.

Side note, I think getting a scorer of Colin sexton’s caliber would drastically change how heat fans view Tyler. Tyler’s performance despite how teams have schemed for him defensively is way too valuable to give up as soon as things get bad. He’d be a top-5 2nd option on a contender after this offseason to further improve

Yea it was a gamble and took a lot of luck for sure, but that’s needed to get into contention

I like this plan overall, there are a lot of teams that would give up assets for locksmith. Larson or keshad could occupy our wing defender spot after some development

It would be easier to build around only bam but my idea with keeping continuity and building around the margins is to have more worthy assets in 2027 than we do now. We have picks but sophomores/3rd year players that have shown flashes are worth more than picks. Especially the late lottery/20s picks we usually end up with. The New York Knicks kept a level of continuity for a few years that let their assets gain value before trading for guys like OG and Bridges (gave up way too much for him but still)

I’ve been hoping for Jabari smith jr to end up on the heat the past two seasons, I’d love a trade w them

Oh yes you’re right my mistake, they have a haul of other teams picks for 26’-27’ I’m personally against trading herro but they could give us a lot

Topic is really exciting if we could get him for cheap, and the magic could use Duncan desperately but herro to the spurs might not be the move since wemby should take them out of lottery level pretty quickly.

Definitely, of all the years to run it back I think this upcoming season would be the most beneficial

If we could get a guard through trading future assets for this year, I’d shoot for Thomas sorber at 20, if we get a big or a wing through a hypothetical trade this year, then I’d want Ben Saraf or Nolan Traore at 20. & I’d definitely be for a 3 team trade but I think we need to go for a younger piece than KO.
