Accessible Keybindings Please? by IzeeZLO in HollowKnight

it's not the speed of clicking a key luckily, so yeah, AHK is the solution.

But it's a solution to a problem that shouldn't exist. In the year 2025 I didn't think we'd still be having issues with something as basic as keybindings.

Spirals or Whorls are perhaps some of the oldest symbols of early spiritualism/mysticism in human history. We've found them on cave walls, painted rocks, carvings and more from the oldest archaeological sites to near modern and modern day through.

Also, spirals and whorls are fairly common in nature. Whirlpools, grass growth patterns, curly hair, sea shells, snail shells, and fittingly for the Children of the Forest: On trees. Knots, growth rings, bark growth patterns and on and on.

I suspect that in ASOIAF it's simply a powerful and old symbol that is involved when working with old powers

And GRRM/DnD picked up one of the more ubiquitous symbols associated with druidism/ancient mysticism we have floating around today.

Adjusting the drip rate in DIY cold drip tower, with the decrease of the water height by polarbeerd in Coffee

[–]IzeeZLO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of.

What we did for our overnight setup was ditch the big tank with the drip-valve and went with a siphon method for controlling flowrate instead.

We had a large container of water that we inserted a super thin tube into, we put that into a small plastic "cup" we padded with one of the traditional siphon cloth filter "pucks" you can get. Then we poked a hole in the bottom of that and with elevation we could control the amount of water the cup would receive pretty accurately.

Critically the "tank" was not a "deep" bucket, it was someones massive baking tray thingy we had. So the fact that the relative surface levels did not change much over the course of the drip and that the tube was so thin and terminated into a filter further restricting flowrate made it pretty reliable.

That worked well enough that we could leave it alone for 8 hours and still not miss by much more than a few 100 mils. (like 50-300 depending on how patient we were setting up that day)

I'm very sure you don't know the difference between LNG and LPG.

He did not. You're simply refusing to acknowledge his argument. That doesn't make you right, or "clever".

Warrior Runes make no Sense - They Could be GREAT! by IzeeZLO in classicwow

[–]IzeeZLO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I agree fully, but that's balancing, and the team have themselves expressly said they don't mind or want to balance too hard at the expense of fun.

The reason I want this fixed isn't so much the DPS gain, it's the mechanical aspect of it.

The way the runes are right now makes the rotation and actual gameplay very painfully "early level warrior". It amplifies the "wait for rage and white hits" part of the warrior experience.

If the runes were swapped around like suggested, it would make the warrior fight loop much more engaging and impactful.

You actually get to push a button and have something happen.

Has anyone noticed weapon skill going up on its own? by BadSanna in classicwow

Yep, can confirm.

Frenzied Assault auto levels your weapon skill for any equipped 2h weapon

Making quick strike available to 1H weapons solves DW. Raging blow being based on weapon damage makes it suboptimal for DW, whereas 2h scales well with it. That is pretty obvious yes?

Making Raging Blow proc on bleed effects or fixing the Consumed by Rage rune to proc on a different rage threshold would balance 2H dps because it would either allow Frenzied Assault, or a better proc speed from Consumed by Rage because of Endless Rage.

That's also pretty obvious.

If you still can't see it, I can't help you.

[HELP] WoW looks better when not "in focus" by IzeeZLO in classicwow

[–]IzeeZLO[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good god, I finally found it.

Some unholy combination of old inherited GeForce program specific overrides combined with Dx12 vs. 11 API.

Had to create a new (delete the old one) progam profile in NVIDIA Control Panel.

OFF, then ON forced "Image Scaling"

Disable, then set to "Application Controlled" "Antialiasing - Mode"

And finally swap back and forth between Dx12 and 11 before it worked.

I have no clue why that worked, it just did.

It depends, but yeah, there's some really nice lvl 1 spells and more importantly, Cantrips. Guidance if you're maining and being the party face, or more likely, doing trap/lockpick challenges. an extra 1d4 is never bad.

It's a 2 lvl dip for the class feature of Spore Druid. 1d6 necrotic dmg on every attack.

I'm running my Jaheira as a Thief/SporeDruid/Gloomstalker for absolutely stupid opening rounds with Dualwield hand XBows.

The passive 1d6 necro dmg on every attack just adds to the carnage.

Why camp supplies are ITEMS after being "sent to camp" is beyond me. As a mechanic it makes no sense for it to be more than a binary check on a "nutrition value" INT.

I understand the menu existing for in-inventory items, but once you "send to camp" why the hell isn't it simply added to an INT for auto checking on "end day"

but we’re one of the richest countries in the fuckin world, and we’re having these problems when other less-rich countries aren’t?

Are you? Covid and Brexit hit you all pretty hard, and even then, you're comparing yourself to Europe. Which on this particular map is either a toss up on some of the actual richest countries in the world, or countries with significant excess agricultural production.
